QUOTE(PIMPIN @ May 6 2012, 06:16 AM)
Fins & Greens Aquatics will be disposing quite a number of our tanks (we have at least 40+ including those partitioned ones) and although in good condition, we couldn't possibly ask for any money and we'd be giving them away on a first come first serve basis (no booking tanks online, once we've decided which tanks to give away we will set a date and whoever turns up on the day first with own transport to take home the tanks wins).

HOWEVER, although I do run several businesses I'm also involved in charity primarily Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Anak Yatim Mak Teh which is an all girls orphanage we've named in memory of my late grandmother. We've been operating for the past 20 years therefore for those who manage to take home anything free, what harm would it be to bank-in a nominal sum to help us in running the day to day operations? It's a privately funded institution meaning everything is borne by our family so an RM10 here or an RM50 there multiplied by many donors does go a long way.

Secondly, we will be clearing all our planted tank stock such as CO2 regulators, etc and this will be in conjunction with the great give away to happen by month's end. Discounts will pretty much be as low as actual cost price as we're changing our business model and planted tanks have no place in our future going forward.

Hope you all take note, continue to support us and will update once we've identified free tanks, stands, discounted products and date on which all of the above is to take place.

Hahah bro not giving away ALL the tanks lah especially not the main tank. Not unless we get a 10ft to replace it.
Please be forewarned the tanks have an outlet drilled on the back of them at the top left hand corner (if you're facing the tank). There are also a few stands, some old cannister filters someone could attempt to get working again if they were so inclined. Really have to go through the storeroom and clear out.

We're also trying to empty out the existing stock so its easier to move things around with empty tanks and get new racks in etc. Pretty much everything is on sale - except for my corn snake that is.  icon_rolleyes.gif

well im not silicon intelligence if ur asking bout their properties...but both got pros n cons..black can discolor and turn to brown or yellow over time while clear will fade and got algae growth on it..the most important thing u have to know that some aquarium silicone in market are mixed with adhesive agent to increase adhesion of the material. Pure silicon shud be a plyable putty not sticky material that will just sealing the tank off but not holding the tank together much. For me...i go for clear as most monster aquarium in market use clear silicon...well it must be a reason.
its a Tor family...can search Tor Tambroides and more..

Went to Penang CTY LFS. Even stayed near CTY-> Tune Hotel \(^-^)/
Bagged 2 fire eels rm35 each. now in quarantine tank with my last week bought feeder fish.
So darn happy even though i spend over rm500 in 2 days..buying fishes and accessories. And the best thing is I didn't get myself nice shoes@bags@clothes.. sheez~

we need to change the carbons when it's time. Small packet last 2 weeks.
Larger packs not sure. If you malas or kedekut, then the carbon will released the toxins back to the tank. If you follow the durations, then it will benefit you

I bought a small to try but that LFS is selling so high,

Not sure the eels can stay stress free or not.
