yes, Marimo will reproduce in its natural way, but if you intentionally cut it into half, this is not recommend as no one can guarantee it can survive or not, some aquarium hobbis intentionally break the marimo apart and make it stick on the drift wood to form a marimo carpet, I may show you mind after this as recently quite busy
