last week sen-q is given a raya special offer. So i bought it 2k for both sony 32'' KLV-32EX + home theater system .

But now i have a problem that the home theatre sys doesn't have hdmi input or optical, and i couldn't connect my Ps3 for 5.1 sound. Temporary i was using the av for sound and hdmi for video.

Any solution that somehow i could connect my ps3 to the speakers with 5.1 sound?

If you HT comes with DVD player, the DVD player will acts as your AMP. You have to use the Optical sound option. Simply get the Optical cable and connect to your DVD player if it has "Optical OUT"?. Once then you need to change the settings in your PS3 tru the XMB menu.

You're then all ready to go with 5.1 sound...

sorry no way for discrete 5.1 audio.

Best you can do with this is to use stereo line in, and turn on PLII processing for matrixed 5.1.

sKyWiR3pT3lTd - wtf are you talking about - the DAV-TZ210 is a HTiB with no digital inputs (mentioned in the first post)

when you input stereo through the red and white from the PS3, the DAV-TZ210 can process the audio and turn it into 5.1 using Dolby Pro-Logic II or DTS:neo.

This is called matrixed 5.1 because the center and surround channels are derived from the information in the left and right channels.

discrete 5.1 (DD, DTS or some SACD) contains sound for each of the individual channels. Most of the time, this is better than matrixed 5.1

Overlooked and didnt notice it does not support optical. Btw, you could have said it without using "WTF".
