i dont think dats da probs le. i think what reali hapen is he wan dslr,ask mom,and he did say if cant afford nvm can take later. but maybe mom got period later marah2 and tell him wan go to uni n carik gaduh wit everyone. den now he shame edi. he did say dowan skip class jus because his mom stupid argument which mean he dont reali care bout the dslr le. he jus shaaaaame. dats why he say his mom dowan face he wan face. means takda muka lagi mau tunjuk sana la if mom perangai like dat one. den too shame. everyone keep teasing him. gg. he go lari home wan. dats what hapen.

its rare but it happens, where parents ask the kid to fend for himself after 18 knowingly that they still do have funds. but the general argument is that parents want kids to understand financial independance by themselves and keep a certain distance to their children

its a respectful choice to teach children on independance with reference to the west on such cultures.

but when the opposite happens to parents, where normally in western societies where retirement funds are an important role also senior villages hold such a role. this rule doesnt apply, what i find strange also for asians the lack of retirement planning due to families thinking on banking on their kids.
