Salam n Hello to all Optimus One users!im ur new member...i just bought my O1 this afternun..now it still sleeping ( 1st time of charging ) hehe~  

so...can anyone teach me what is the very 1st ting to do?download what?step by step....hmm...i dunno where to start n pliz make all importance step or thing about O1 at the 1st page so make it ez to others to try...tq n sori 4 my bad english...hehe

just go to any accessories shop and ask for lg charger with micro-usb head.
rm8.50  or if you want to spend more, look for blackberry 3-1 charger.
O1 can use any stock micro-usb charger

Added on January 14, 2011, 5:01 amanybody know how to send your contact via sms??? this can be done in Galaxy S. In O1, press menu button ->share -> options are send via gmail, whatsup etc.

another issue m applicable  to any android phone, can't read vcard send from other phone (nokia,se etc)

jz untick the mass storage in settings then problem solved

if i'm not mistaken, you don't need to downgrade your firmware to root your phone with z4root. i need to downgrade mine cuz i've updated mine to 10e aka 2.2.1.

yes u need the USBDriver installed that is located in your SDCard's LGPCSuite folder...

Flashing with Custom ROMs
##Things to download##
1. Download .void ROM.
2. Download Terminal Emulator and install on phone.
3. Download Custom Recovery Tool Image and its Flash Image, and put them into SD root (the main folder of SD card). Remember, the *.img file, not the *.zip file.

##System Recovery and Flashing##
1. Load Terminal Emulator on phone.
2. Type "su" (without quotes) and press enter, the $ should now become #.
3. Type exactly what is in the spoiler, down right to capital letters and spacing. Line by line (rotate your phone horizontally for easy view).

*an error will appear when you register the 4th line, it's OK so leave it be.

4. Switch off the phone after completion. Now, reboot into recovery mode by pressing and holding power button, volume down button and home button. Use volume button as up and down keys, menu button as Enter/Yes.
5. Run Nand Backup External
6. Run Partition SD card. You must do each menu available step by step (the last step would be ext3 to ext4).
7. Run Wipe All, then reboot.
8. Connect the USB to your phone, transfer the .void ROM (zipfile) to SD root. Disconnect the USB cable, and reboot.
9. Boot into System Recovery again (power, low volume and home button).
10. Select Flash menu, choose the .void ROM, and initiate flashing.
11. Reboot, and this time it will take a while (around 5 minutes for first boot).
12. Should be running on .voiD (or any custom ROM) by now.
