I think plan to sell of my HTC wildfire and get LG Optimus One since gingerbread is compatible.
Some more HTC set is expensive  sweat.gif
May I know celcom give how many years warranty on Optimus One?
*
warranty by LG.. not celcom.. 1 year..

anyway, i found that the battery drained pretty fast lah.. fully charged last night.. 3.30pm.. already at 35%..
maybe it's because of i'm playing & downloading apps/games alot..

QUOTE(Rolland @ Dec 24 2010, 12:19 AM)
Hi, shadow bro.  rclxm9.gif  I am giving up on the phone hunting, fed up with what LG is thinking, the last time i check with LG customer support was on 25 Nov where they say the phone already launch on 20 Nov, and it will took 0ne to Two week for all the dealer to get the phone. And yet after one month,it is still the all mighty CELCOM getting its exclusive right to market the phone. This guy at CELCOM are not interested in selling the phone, as usual , they want people to use their line, in business stand point, of cause they are rite. But what happen to LG? this is plain ridiculous for taking so long to launch a phone doh.gif. I will go for Samsung Wave instead, if you can't marry jolin , then go and marry angelina jolie... muhahahahaha drool.gif
*
lucky me.. i managed to buy the phone without any contract nor prepaid from Celcom..
i think it depend on the salesperson.. some shop can.. some cannot..
maybe they'll get more comission if selling with contract..
there was a shop with LG sign in Sg Wang Plaza selling RM1k+.. mad.gif

Added on December 24, 2010, 1:30 ami updated the firmware from v10c to v10e yesterday.. my phone became slower during unlocking screen.. so nyesal... & i read that v10e cannot be rooted... waaa...

Its normal case for smart phone. If you open the 3G connection will drain faster. Maybe you can set to 2G mode only if you're not using any data connection.
And only turn on the 3G connection when you wish to use the internet etc..
Mine can last slightly more than 1 day, with normal call & sms usage, gaming, music, plus keep on searching nice application on android market  laugh.gif
*
turning off the 3g really helps in conserving battery.. but since i'm using my mobile bband sim (umobile bband) in my phone.. i cant use 2g connection.
but i found that the battery life getting better.. now about 1 1/2 day..

Any user tried GPS locking? I was informed it comes with NDrive, does it work well compared to Papago?

Really need input on GPS as my main requirement is fuss free navigation.
Anyway, great to see accessories available.
*
yes.. it's pre-installed with n-drive.. i tried once... the map was ok.. gps locking quite fast..but the menu not as user-friendly as garmin (for me la)..
if gps is your main requirement.. then u shud consider garmin nuvifone a50..

A 2G network with GPRS is enough for MMS. Even my old K750 can do that. Charge per MMS.
*
mms wont be charged for data.. but there are apps that constantly updating in the background once we activate the mobile data.. either on 2g or 3g..
i dont know if we can control the apps from connecting to the internet or not.. as i'm new to android. sweat.gif
