2 more weeks? isn't tat too close to christmas? how come LG dont make it avai this week to fully take use of christmas shopping?

after reading the review, seems like a better deal than Aria

I got a samsung jet.......contemplating if i should change to the p500. It would be a downgrade....hardware wise.

if the price of the phone is as mentioned, i think i can just walk to the shop, trade-in my jet for the p500. (maybe top up 100or 200 buck)

crap phone. stock 2.2 Froyo, not upgradable to Gingerbread as per Engadget today. Save a bit more and get a HTC

HTC is overprice.

HTC is overpriced to you simply because they are slightly more expensive compared to similar spec phones,
but do you know why? If you know you wouldn't think they're overpriced.

HTC's Android phones strength lies in their HTC Sense UI, some may say it makes the OS heavier,
but you have to know what Sense UI is capable of doing first,
it is not simply just an UI overlay, it integrates deeply into the phone.

LG will upgrade all Optimus One smartphones currently using the Froyo OS to the next version of the Android OS, Gingerbread. Details of the upgrade schedule will be announced locally in due course. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding that was caused regarding this issue.

I called LG service centre yesterday, they said they have launched it about 2 weeks ago. So I went to LG shop KLCC today, but the SA said that it is not yet available.

So I called the service centre again and told them about KLCC, i even asked whether it is available in any shop at Low Yat.. They gave me a dealer number to call (Celstar). The dealer said that Celcom will launched (or had already launched? -- not sure) this model with post paid plan. It will only be available on the market (for outright purchase) sometime in January..

Urghhh.. IDK whether I can wait that long.

well, i guess so. in the mean time. i'll keep in contact with the dealer to get updates.

if u planing for gingerbread.. please wait d nexus S with 2.3 o something with 1g cpu+512mb rams+512rom... SAMSUNG GALAXY S and d nexus one should not problem for d gingerbread

typically for LG devices, does the street price differ much from the RRP?

bro rm50 already counting for d cel exc plan (voice+sms) then d 28 is data plan (rm38-10)
844 we pay for device and 12month 1gb data ustage lol..
if u need a new phone+data package counting a nice deal since u bought d phone also same around that price but d celcom are offering a data plan for u (1gbx12)

they will cut d data plan but u willuin gto pay extra they can samsung back

mLite will give you 300MB while mBasic will give you 1GB. After you reach 300MB/1GB, the internet service is block and you have to pay RM3.88 as mDaily. No speed throttle. That was sad.

The release date should be very near... there's this LG giant bunting depicting P500 and another phone being hanged in the middle of Sg.Wang plaza

went to subang parade, ask seller at LG kiosk but was no luck, then go to celcom blue cube, only got 1 stock. want to buy at RRP price RM889 but she said the RRP price is not declare yet. damn! so, i decide to buy it with RM78 12-month contract with the price of the device RM508. the box is so small. suitable for x-mas gift.

i can't talk much about performance yet because it is still charging. but the touchscreen is real responsive and fast. hard reset would take about a minute. my 1 hour experience with optimus one is great! hahaha. I love it!

from gsarenan show this set is upgrable to gingerbread if yes this is a nice entry set to go ..

upgrade will never end lol...

it will be equal to what you pay for...for me this slightly exceeds my budget so I won't be b****ing too much
