Yup, processor problem, but Skyfire Browser can solve it.

Either someone made a mistake in that Facebook post or it was the public outcry, but the LG Optimus One P500 will be allowed to enter the Gingerbread house after all. The whole 1GHz processor speed requirement turned out to be a mistake.
Another day, another LG Optimus One news. Just a couple of days a go bad news came by way of the LG Mobile USA Facebook page - no Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the LG Optimus One, citing a "1GHz minimum" requirement by the new OS. It was quickly rebutted on Twitter by a member of the Android team and LG admitted the announcement was premature and said they are waiting on an official compatibility document.
Now, LG has issued an official Public Notice apologizing for the confusion and have confirmed that they will upgrade the LG Optimus One P500 to Gingerbread. They didn't give any specific target date for when this will happen but current and future Optimus One owners (including all its carrier-specific variations) can breathe a sigh of relief. Presumably, the update will be available for the LG Optimus Chic E720, which has the same specs as the Optimus One (the ones that matter anyway).
Anyway, whatever caused the "misunderstanding" has been resolved, and the Optimus One has become an even better bargain than before.

LG released information prematurely regarding the minimum processor upgrade requirements for the LG Optimus. Google recently announced the Gingerbread platform and has not yet published the Gingerbread Compatibility Definition Document (CDD) or the public branch open source code. Once the CDD and the source code is public, LG will evaluate the upgradability of the Optimus Series. We apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding. LG will upgrade all Optimus One smartphones currently using the Froyo OS to the next version of the Android OS, Gingerbread. Details of the upgrade schedule will be announced locally in due course. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding that was caused regarding this issue.

problem is.. we won't know when they goin to release gingerbread..
maybe they say this now to cool down the angry masses due to their earlier statement saying optimus one won't support gingerbread.

Just like X10 ... Need to wait 8 months just to get 2.1 ...

Well, I'm ok with that though.

A budget phone with froyo running on it while most major brands still stuck with eclair, slowly rolling out froyo upgrade to their phones.
SE android series even more pathetic, just upgrading to Eclair recently.

Btw, when do u think HTC and Samsung Android series gonna get Gingerbread?
I reckon earliest will be June 2011 or even later.

They are just releasing the froyo update lately.

Ask few LG stores today, still no one have it yet.
LG care center was saying it will be end of Nov.
Maybe they mean end of Dec
