I finally got my D7000 this afternoon...at Mines wonderland...

I been told is brand new set and never open box.  I believe so because when I open the box..i feel it totally new.  I turn on the machine, first is to set the language, then date n time...please correct me if i am wrong...

If 35mm, go for 35mm f/2D or 35mm f/1.4G. If 50mm, go for 50mm f/1.4G or Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM
Other than that, picture quality isn't promising at all. wink.gif

35mm lens when attached to DX body, there's crop factor of 1.5x, which changes the focal length to around 52.5mm. It's good for many situations, as they say, a general walk around lens; You can use this lens for whole day if you want.

If you attach the 50mm to the DX body, the focal length will become 75mm, which means you need to stand further away from the object to get the same view with 35mm. You can take the 50mm f1.8, which is cheaper but let's say you want capture full body, you need to stand further away than if you use the 35mm.
Personally, I prefer the 35mm f1.8G which cost around RM800 or less.

Lens quality of 35mm f/1.8G is bad sad.gif
Picture kinda soft.

Besides, in future when you wanna upgrade to full frame, you will suffer of smaller megapixel because 35mm is made for DX bodies.

35mm f/2d is an old lense, is it hardly find it in the camera shop just like 18-200 VR1? price to be announced for 35mm f/1.4, after visit some foreign website, the price is totally out of my budget >.<

Thx for the info...i am surveying to get between D90 and D7000...but the more i survey, the more i get poisoned sad.gif
D7000 has been improve overall compare to D90, do you think the diff of $ worth for D7000? shooting is just my hobby and not my job.
my concern will be more on the camera capability in coming few years time than the value of $.
Eventhough i think this is not appropriate thread to ask here, but thr are some D90 users here, can advise little bit? thx thx biggrin.gif
