i dont really understand which is your question.
older ones and newer ones?
well chronologically which come out in ios:
street fighter 4
king of fighters-i
street fighter 4 volt
and latest is king of fighters-i 2012
even toucharcade give this 5/5
*
I take it you're playing this one too? How is the multiplayer battle? Like in SF Volt, its almost useless to practice combos because when playing online, everytime lags and timing for combos completely thrown out the window. Nvm my previous post. I understand which comes first and which the newer version of KOF, but thanks for your chronological order. Took the time to look for the gameplay in youtube and the 2D sprites looks smooth and amazing. Combos are still the main dish served and judging from the combo videos, there seems to be a lot of infinity combos lying around. Execution seems easy enough...heh.

Still, I'm occupied with Deadlock Online right now. Perhaps once I grew bored of it, I'll consider playing KOF. Really missed this game so much.

New game is out today from Gameloft.

The Amazing Spider-man

The gameplay looks very similar to the first Spider-man game by Gameloft, but they tweaked the graphic to make it look better and a bigger open space environment in the form of Manhattan city.

For $6.99, I don't expect any frequent update for this game, similar to all the other movie related franchise. It'll probably selling like hot cake after the premiere showing of the movie. My 5 year old son finished the first game, so its quiet an easy game to pick up the first time.

Anybody tried CSR Racing?

I know it's just some simple drag racing game, but i do like its car gallery. Reminds me of AutoVista (albeit only showing exterior)

(btw its IAP is  sweat.gif )

I started playing this over the weekend and its really is fun. Drag racing is sooo easy to start off and for this game, zero skills is needed. Only need to know the perfect timing to shift gears. Already finished all five tiers and purchased all the cars. Feels good mang. rclxm9.gif

bro, fuhh bro you started playing over the weekend and you already on tier 5??
RESPECT.
you buy iAP or no?
the iAP are damn expensive - USD2.99 for Super NOS to race for Papa Biz's tier 1 Mini JCW, expensive leh.

BTW, EA games for iPAD is 99cents (FIFA 12 ETC)
*
To be honest, I found a profile bug during my play. Even the develop admit to the weakness in the IAP system for CSR. Somehow, I got 8,000 Gold coins during one of my races. I was pleasantly surprised because I was supposed to only receive cash bonus from winning my race, but instead I got gold coins.

If you desperately need a few gold coins for continuous play, there is another alternative to earn gold coins apart from IAP. PM me and I'll tell you. No jailbreak is required. brows.gif

How's the Dead Trigger? The graphics looks good but the reviews aren't good at all, specifically complaining about the in-app purchase cliche.
*
Yea, graphic is damn amazing, especially the rain effect and water puddle effect. Least to say, zombies look downright scary. It really is a class game with chill factor and all, and yes, major gripe would be the IAP. Its a free game, but to proceed with the missions, you really need the cash and gold. Its a dead end for those expecting free gameplay, because you can barely repeat the same stage to collect monies. You have to move on to another mission which slowly goes harder and obviously require some heavier firepower.

However I did bought myself both cash and gold and paid $1.99 in total. Considering its a game worthy to be in the premium category, I figured its a legit purchase. Still, its annoying that there is no other way for players to enjoy the full gameplay unless you willing to consider IAP. Haven't seen any multiplayer option yet, but hoping that they will include that in the coming update. I gotta admit, killing zombies is really fun, so when having more friends killing together, the experience is two fold. Just my wish laa. biggrin.gif

Wait, my mistake. Dead trigger isn't free.

QUOTE(darosha @ Jul 13 2012, 06:56 PM)
both dead trigger and amazing spiderman got 2/5 review from toucharcade
*
I have both, so let me give my honest review.

Amazing Spider-man. Very nice open concept and decent gameplay. Personally not much different to the first spider-man game but good job on the visuals. Zero lagg issue is a bonus. DOWNSIDE: Controls are a mess and really is troublesome. Certain events can only be done by pressing the web-sling button which only comes up conveniently when you're facing it at a certain angle. This is a big hassle for gameplay. Still, I manage to finish the game (err, I mean my 5 year old son) within 2 days. Can't say its too short because there's lots of challanges you can do, but limited to jumping, swinging, searching for bombs and hitting baddies.

Overall, its 2/5 review from toucharcade is justified. Only get this if you're 5 year old. You'll be critical about this game on so many levels. As for the storyline, it doesn't snyc with the movie at all. Instead, they created a totally different storyline with the Lizard in it. With no prospect of mutiplayer or future updates, consider this as a one-off to simply sooth the avid fans of Spider-man.

DEAD TRIGGER
I'm hooked on this. Seriously, I even bought them IAPs for a total of USD13 bucks (don't judge me). sad.gif
Can't say I'm too dissapointed. They game simply looks so awesome and I can't recall how many countless times I feel goosebumps whenever a zombie got grab of me. It just feels so freakin SCARY (or probably I'm just scared shytless most of the times). Top A in graphics and audio. The game has LOTS of potentials for future updates seeing this game tops the most grossing apps at the moment. I doubt they'll include multiplayer in the future, but if they do, oh man this gotta be hands on the best FPS game in the IOS. At the moment, IAP is the biggest drawback for this game. THAT IS ALL.

Seriously, if this game is made premium you won't hear complaints from people paying $8.99 for this top notch game, but because its $0.99, that is why you hear lots of users being critical and feeling scammed in the process. Honestly, no one is pulling anyone's arm. If you're into FPS and love a good graphic game with engaging gameplay, consider Dead Trigger as your next purchase and put aside some extra cash to get them IAPs. Don't believe the bullshit about users who can survive the game WITHOUT any IAPs. To do that, you probably need to play around 100 scenes if you want to afford the next gun.

well, IAP is a serious no-no for me especially if its unplayable without it
unless its little difference where you still can proceed fun without it like punch kyo or flame iori of kof-i 2012.
btw, have you tried unlock the full game of magic 2013? that one got 5/5. and i actually like the free 'demo', hate the message come out every single turn phase, but it can be stopped.
*
Well, consider yourself warned then. tongue.gif

I didn't get the Magic 2012 despite it being free and receiving rave reviews. For one, I have zero knowledge of TGS games and I know the learning curve may be high for me. I guess its just one of those game I don't feel like playing at the moment. Maybe if I have a friend playing this I might be interest, but at the moment I'm too in deep in other games, namely Dead Trigger and Plague Inc. rclxms.gif

Childhood fav arcade game : Metal Slug 3 @ $6.99

Got chance to buy at 99c or not? tongue.gif

iPhone & iPad share same platform, how nice if have HD version.
*
Most SNK Playmore games are less inclined to reduce their price. Usually, its only when a newer game comes that they slash the price, but only minimal. I caught this apps t oo, but the price is a bit expensive for just one series. Nnetheless, the third installment is arguable the best among the series. I don't know how the two players mode is, but online coop would be nice though. And as you mentined the lack of HD version, it'll be a miss for me on the iPad. sad.gif

I just use handgun from the started until I get my first Shotgun then AK47 without purchasing IAP, honestly I still can't believe how I survive all those horde from taking me, maybe that my skill coming from too much of Call Of Duty series.
*
Nice! Respect that you survive with stock weapons. I'm quite far in the game with AK47 fully upgraded to level 3. Eventually, headshot couldn't kill zombies anymore. That's when you'll start going panic and all those headshot skills will end up spraying bullets along the walls.

I think if you insist on keeping with stock guns, you may need to save up some cash and get the shotgun. Its the best gun for most mission except when bullet count matters most. I use shotgun to easily move to different areas especially in collecting items mission. Also, that particular mission is where I earn XP and money the most since its easier to pick zombies from afar. Defensive missions is what I hate most.

Guys, get zombie HQ...free. And I just tried it, awesome.
*
Awesome indeed. Lots of goodies, but the items are obviously meant to be purchased for cash. I'm committing myself to this game over the weekend and see how far I could go. Challenges are quite decent and no presence of lag during gameplay. Thanks for your recommendation.

By the way, got any good tips on farming for cash and gold? What's the best weapon to use in the long run?

I use the assault shotgun (maxed out if you can) that'll be enough for hard challenges for survivors, air drop, rooftop and barricades. It's do'able for beast on hard though your health regen needs to be at least 2 stars. Using the shotgun on scavenger is a little tough without dextrity and gun turret (at least 3). So for radio scan missions, go for survivors and remember to pick up gold cash.  Invest in jukebox, bar and missile launcher furniture. Also make sure your weapons  and armour are at least 10XP or more to get higher XP bonus after missions.
*
Yes, nice tips there. Too bad, I've already invested in assault rifle. Cost me 60k, so in the long run this is my main weapon. Shotgun has too little bullets for some missions, especially on survivors. Oh yes, bonus survivor is where I farm my cash, gold and XP. Each mission gives me 10k cash and average 10 survivors. 5 rounds should let me earn 700 gold from 50 survivors. Its a bit tedious cycle, but once I max my rifle and physical stat, I should be able to splurge on other cosmetics items. biggrin.gif

Oh yar Batman Dark Knight Rise is out 6.99$ look like have to wait till it drop to 0.99$ lol

i seriuously doubt it. Gameloft has a track record of not dropping its movie-based games price. Its either free (MIB3) or premium forever...TF:DOTM, Spider-man, etc.
I've bought the Spider-man game, and true enough, this batman game was made by the same team. It looks awfully the same with its open concept and gameplay. You'll be surprised to know that the company is based in China.
