So I'm planning to get a xbox360. But before I do I wonder if you guys know if any new xbox will be releasing in the next 2 years at least? Cause I'm afraid if I get xbox360 now, next year or maybe next 2 year another xbox will be released. Then there will be no more games for the current xbox, it would be like a waste then

Btw how frequent does the rrod happens? should the 360 be place in horizontal or vertical to prevent overheating ?

if u wan the new 1 just buy the xbox 360slim 250gb or 4gb (if u prefer matte finish over gloss finish)

depends on what type of xbox u have if the old arcade 1 many got rrod
but seeing that u want to take the new xbox 360 as in the slim
it has its own self-protection thingy to prevent RDOD (red dot of death)
when ur xbox is too hot it will warn u early about it will auto shutdown
and after that u must wait while the light on the xbox turns out
then it is safe to turn it back on, this could reduce chance of getting RDOD ALOT

and if u going to take that 360 slim, putting it vertically
should be a better answer, why? coz
the 360 slim has vents on its top, bottom and 1 side of it
better put the side that has vent facing upward to maximize air flow

if u stand it vertically 1 of the vents will have minimal airflow
thus heating ur xbox faster than it should be

Games sell is still very strong now for the current next-gen consoles. I don't see new consoles coming for another 5 years or so. There's going to be a lot of new releases next year too. If you can wait, good for you. If not just buy one 4gb slim. Costs only RM799 now

RROD no, RDOD got la. But its like 1/10000 chance you will get. Besides, new xbox got warning if the system is overheating.
