i think u guys have to change ur mind d. If u think thier quality is crap, then u will never success.
Acer is a big company which sell laptop, they also need thier reputation. They will improve thier quality as well.
Like thier 5943G is the best product ever, the quality build is even better than Dell with the same price and same spec.(5850 which have better performance at the price range that 5943G offer)

    many eyes will focus on your lappy .. haha

lol I'd say Dell isn't that stupid to make a "Direct Competitor" under their own roof.
It will always be a notch or two lower than the highest end Alienware.

Ie, highest end GPU available for the new SXPS15/17 is 445m, where as the new AW will have 460-480m.

It's true anyway. The bling bling makes the laptop looks like a stupid hot toys or the sort. It isn't cool at all IMO.
I just turn every light off except the red keyboard illuminating light cauce it's retardedly difficult to see the keyboard without the light :/

Though I looked at m15x's hinge, if that thing could possibly broke, it won't be a natural cause lol. (Cast iron for the hinge..>_>)
PS:If you guys have not noticed yet, let me share a piece of fun fact, the heaviest weight contributed in a M15x, is not the body/chassis itself, it's the LCD panel and hinge.

For me, the impression it gave was, "This hinge are built to lasts" lol.
Just imagine, a laptop hinge, made of the very same material as an engine block is made. (Well, older engine block, newer and modern are using aluminum)
I'd say just use the laptop normally, don't abuse it and..I think you should be fine.(Sure it's sturdy, but it never mentioned it's meant to be abused so...)

both of this GC is same, not much different. the performance different is not significant.
5850 u guys check in tomshardware is desktop version which is totaly different from the mobile version, the mobile version of 5850 is around destop5570-5670.
If u need CUDA/PhysX got for Nvidia(got better driver support for smooth gaming)
Ati cheaper and have same performance(sucks driver support)
For DX11, dont think about it, if u wan try DX11, go for M17x 5870 would be nice, when a game u cnt full detail, DX 11 is useless

and gaming must directly link to cooling effeciency. there is no use if you just able to game for 30 minutes and overheating after that....

Why cant premium stuff like Alienware get premium stuff as well? the speakers for starters..

yahoo just bought m15x at lowyat . price a bit expensive but i managed to get the free alien bag .. man so hard to find alienware alien bag free . all give the blue targus or belkin bag . got the alien cap also inside the big box so nice . but battery i cannot get 9 cell battery which is sad . hopefully things will be great with this laptop . man a big jump from netbook to alienware lulz .. glad to join u guys alienwaring lulz

Kave is the best 5.1 gaming headphone i ever use. tried Razer, the one with 7.1 Simulated, but still prefer Kave eventho Razer is bit lighter.

use Kave with Creative X-Fi and there goes your ears, sneeking and hearing footstep during spawnkilling lol.
