why is that ? what video card you have on your M15x ?

hmm.. i've got problem with my M17x.. it keeps saying my driver crashes and all of a sudden the screen black out and i cant do anything but force shut.. any1 facing this problem.

Updated to new bios and graphic driver but still same.

Has anyone experienced m17x sleep mode that cant wake or freeze? Mine m17x has got this problem lately after format, i went through diagnostic and it stucked at a point when it was testing the hardisk.  How to solve it? Can we download and reinstall the same driver again from Dell?

Can anyone please give some advice? I am currently in a tough situation that I cant get techinical support from Dell UK yet unless I have done the owner transfer to UK. 

GTX480M still need some space to developed. Nvidia release GTX480M in rush maybe trying to compete with ATi HD5870 Mobility. GTX480M is still premature for me.

yes M17x will perform eventho you connect it to external monitor. it can support up to 1920 x 1200 resolution without a problem, depending on the GPU used.

yes, only US Region eligible for custom engraving. the engraving machine only available in Miami. to be optimistic - without the engraved plate, it surely will have higher resale value

yes you heard right. not to mentioned the fan loudly sound and consume a lot of power too.

its because i am the first batch of M17x, where GTX280M was the best GPUs in the world. and i love Nvidia drivers too, compared to ATi. its worth it.

Anyone here with m11x has never had problem with the hinge? lol.
I'm sorta tempted to get a m11x over here in UK. Not that it's cheaper than in Malaysia but for mobility sake :/ (m15x isn't fun to be carried around)

If you check Dell Malaysia website, GTX 460M is now available for M15x. You need to add in additional RM 274 if your original video card is Radeon HD 5850. Then again, some people claim that the card is too expensive and does not worth it.

Still, I have some regret that I should delayed my purchase of laptop till now, so that I choose Nvidia GTX 460M card. Sigh, what to do?

Benchmark is one of the most reliable of seeing how good is a GC.

Real life performance is pretty expected to be awesome.

460M GTX pawns on DX11, while 5870 still excel on Dx9 and DX10. Considering the number of DX11 games in the market, 5870 still get my vote.

i was wondering how the Alienware handle those 2 GTX480M SLi monster there, The Heat sink doesnt fit the M17x either.

i think eyefinity is useless for a laptop to use on it, the perfomance of the laptop are not too strong, eyefinity will be laggggggg....

i dont think people on office will buy Alienware(bulky, bad battery life, oversaturated LCD) i dont think portable for office is need, since they will buy desktop and another bussiness class laptop for portable
