new problem came to my side. it started after i revered the alienware theme to normal 7. here wat happened :

as u all already now, the alienware theme customized icons including folders. after i revered it to normal (using stardock or sumthin, basicly the software that came with the theme), all customized icons were revered to normal but with a small unidentified icon (the default icon for unreadable file) at bottom of the icon (example : folder icon). my mistake i think was i closed the stardock program and when i noticed the problem with the icons, i tried to run stardock again but failed all the time. then i thought i'll try to restart it & when i reached at login page, the login box disappeared! the only thing left is the ease icon on bottom left, restart/shutdown on bottom right & alien sense login. sadly, i couldnt login with alien sense no matter how i tried. for the record, i been using alien sense 90% of time since day 1 & logged in previously b4 this problem arise with alien sense too. i googled for solutions but none of it helps. solution i tried so far,

1. safe mode = failed (stuck at same supposed to be login page but without the alien sense)

2. repair = tried to repair with recovery cd but was unable to do so.

3. restore to previous = failed

4. recovery cd = used on recover partition, which install new windows. now i have another os7 in my lappy under recover partition. able to access original partition but dunno wat to fix. currently been copying files from original partition into backup hdd in case have to format it. if recovery cd used on main partition, it says it will put it on windows.old folder, which u can access all old files but cant run the previous windows anymore so i dare not to try it yet.

the best part, my warranty juz expired last 2 week. anyone can help? rclxub.gif

nothing worked. tried every possible process, even if have to restore back to factory default by using (dell data safe or sumthing). called dell to come over & reinstall os back to default this tuesday for rm274. sweat.gif

talked on the phone with dell technical support person b4 confirming payment about my problem & he was quite surprised with my case & never thought stardock will cause trouble this far. sweat.gif

so guys, i'm not saying dont use stardock alienware theme, but juz be carefull with it. once u use it and thinking of revert it back to original windows 7 theme, make sure u make backups & restore point b4 u install stardock alienware theme. icon_rolleyes.gif

coolers arent necessary for alienware m15x and m17x.. both of them have 2 fans inside which is more than enough..

and lk, alienware laptops are different compared to other laptops.. just use blow compressed air into the vents and see the dust spurting out =D

make sure u turned lappy off, unplugged any ac power and batt then do so

75'C is nothing~ wink.gif Last time I was playing RUSE at a cafe without realizing the table cloth blocked the vents completely until I notice a major drop in FPS from 50-60 to just 10-20... I was like 'Oh sh**' coz when I check it was at 9x'C~ shocking.gif now I'm only able to play games up to 2-3 hours and then let it rest for a while otherwise NFS HP would look kinda funny~ laugh.gif
