my m17x 5870 CF paly SC2 have screen rate problem and some of the character dissapear and minerals also.. anyone encounter this kind of problem ?

sounds like a driver issue to me. Tried updating to the latest one? (10.8)

download latest driver
then go to CCC...put advance....Off/Disable advance A.I(work for me)
advance A.I is in 3d section

if the method above cannot solve the problem then:
Another way to solve this problem is to disable crossfire(it seem that crossfire is causing the missing unit problem)
PS:i also encounter this problem..slowly experiment all the stuff...found out that (#@$*&(*!@&(*!&@( AI is causing all the problem

do clean install is recommended..

-Download DriverSweeper
-Remove ATi Catalyst Control Manager(everything)
-Boot to safemode run DriverSweeper (tick ATi)
-Boot normally to windows
-Install new driver.

i use 10.8...got no problem
maybe u can try 10.8
well..i can play on ultra setting..
but movie not that smooth on ultra(or maybe just me XD)

Though I looked at m15x's hinge, if that thing could possibly broke, it won't be a natural cause lol. (Cast iron for the hinge..>_>)
PS:If you guys have not noticed yet, let me share a piece of fun fact, the heaviest weight contributed in a M15x, is not the body/chassis itself, it's the LCD panel and hinge.

Sorry my friend, I don't know lol.
For me, the impression it gave was, "This hinge are built to lasts" lol.
Just imagine, a laptop hinge, made of the very same material as an engine block is made. (Well, older engine block, newer and modern are using aluminum)

I'd say just use the laptop normally, don't abuse it and..I think you should be fine. (Sure it's sturdy, but it never mentioned it's meant to be abused so...)

help i cant install my driver, after i use driver sweeper in safe mode then i reinstall the lastest ati driver the installation show driver install fail and under my device manager the display adapter shown " standard VGA Graphic Adapter" i try to uninstall them or update then still couldnt help ....
i try to install the driver in safemode also cant...
anyone have anyidea?

My first R1 unit was a disaster, with new problems keep coming every months for 4 months. But my second R2 unit never have a problem so far.
