QUOTE(Andy214 @ Sep 15 2010, 11:25 PM) No need so hard, so many ways to pwnd Maemo ler, but what for? Maemo is nothing, it's already obsolete, history. Haha; Nokia already don't care about it already, it's just mostly supported by the community. This post sounds like Andy214 is emotional about Nokia ditching Maemo The one that touch everyone's tails is Mr. Jobs with his Antennagate wars. Signal bad then admit la, must take each and every phone to prove and they can actually take time and spend on it; Got so much time and money, go fix their problem better. |

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Sep 16 2010, 04:08 AM) I don't think the N8 is laggy. GSMArena posted the following video about the N8 hands-on yesterday at Nokia World. told ya, symbian doesnt need extreme hardware like 1 ghz, 512mb to get good speed. 680mhz already suffice :-)The N8 seems very responsive. As for functionality, I think Symbian only loses in terms of aesthetics and application stores. Functionality-wise iPhone 4 still doesn't support Flash or BlueTooth file transfer. As for Android, my HTC Hero still has problems connecting to 3G/WiFi sometimes, but my N86 never has that problem. I think Nokia N series phones are pretty reliable. Added on September 16, 2010, 6:31 am QUOTE(ExHolyAngel @ Sep 16 2010, 03:12 AM) What r u talking about? Symbian especially Symbian^3 is design for smartphone. Thus, this make N8 with good camera and symbian OS/smartphone functionality, ady beat my SGS in several parts especially the camera. This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Sep 16 2010, 06:31 AM |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 16 2010, 01:33 PM) Hahaha honestly the launching of E7 and C7 was very disappointing with fixed focus lens For business type people, fix focus from e7 isn't important, whats important is the email features. As for c7, its a disappointment coz C series is for massesLike that Nokia N8 still have the edge in camera category Added on September 16, 2010, 12:36 pmThis is cool http://www.symbiantweet.com/nokia-plug-and...o-a-touchscreen There was alot ppl asking how they do it lol |

QUOTE(ExHolyAngel @ Sep 16 2010, 05:43 PM) Is it not about the replace battery problem, it is odd about the old 1200mAh battery model used. Symbian =/ Android. Thus, processor needed is different. Even sgs 2.1 lag with powerful hummingbird (and will improve with the upcoming froyo end of this month), so N8 can improve with its upcoming firmware after few months of release.Shud use a higher capacity 1, if wan to use same capacity also change a new slimmer model battery instead of old model. So might make ppl think of stock clearing and some kind to ways to prevent u to change it within the warranty period. Even you can change it after the warranty period by yourself, but some normal/business user dnt have free time to do that, nokia might earn quite a bit from there. And symbian dun need fast processor is just a damned excuses, if it really doesnt nid a faster processor , why would it lag in the N8 ? Dont tell me u watched so many videos of N8 , none of them is lag, the lag is obvious even though not so noticeable. But that's a lot compared to android 2.2 froyo phone out there. Especially when web browsing. Pls la, every os is different. Not every os require super hardware. |

Take example of windows, linux, mac.
Added on September 16, 2010, 5:10 pm QUOTE(ExHolyAngel @ Sep 16 2010, 06:08 PM) But super hardware is always better than outdated hardware right ? Why the hardware if the current hardware ady make the os speedy like 1ghz phone?just make an analogy : windows xp just do very well in pentium 4 right ? but wat abt windows xp with a core i7 ? notice the diff ? just a little analogy about the OS and hardware. make sense. QUOTE(ExHolyAngel @ Sep 16 2010, 06:12 PM) we should fix the OS as the constant variable becoz u said it is the OS drive the speed of hardware. You just don't understand do you? If the current hardware already make the OS speedy enough just like other 1ghz phone, then why need super hardware? For example, I have corei5 750 processor+windows 7 ultimate+8gb ddr3 RAM and compare with a friend of core 2 duo, Linux OS, 3gb ddr2. Both OS show same speed, just hardware is different.we fix the OS , then change the CPU, and we saw the speed increase. how about u put 1Ghz to the symbian and make it become 2Ghz ? funny ? If you want super hardware phone, you have to sacrifice the battery life. My SGS 1/2day use, battery already kong. Good hardware doesn't make OS gonna be good la. Different OS have different way of using CPU. So, if the OS can use CPU efficiently, then it does not require super-godly hardware unless the OS has added more features thus it is needed
Symbian isn't like Android nor Apple isn't like the both of them. Both are different OS. Added on September 16, 2010, 5:23 pm QUOTE(andrekua @ Sep 16 2010, 06:21 PM) Current Android version even Froyo isn't ready for Tablet. If I were them, MeeGo tablet already beat Android tablet.
