hi, i want to mod my casing, to make it have transparent side panel.
i have the tools to do it, but i have no xp in doing it.
i think the side panel is very hard to make,
because the casing has 2 layers of thickness,
which one being a metal side, then have an outer plastic shell on that metal.
the inside parts also very tricky, since if u random cut,
prolly the outer plastic cant stick back to the metal parts.

does anyone have xp in doing side transparent panel?
can anyone help, tuto or even provide such service?
later i will upload picta of the side panel of my casing in details.

my casing looks like this

humm, actually i want to make both i guess.
i mean, if i wanna put transparent panel, i need to cut
my panel to make it happen. if i make window but
no arcylic, it would be bad also.
i see u also have arcylic yeah.

Maybe, u can upload the picture of the side panel, both top and bottom and the size of the window that you want to cut.. biggrin.gif Is it hollow between the plastic part and the metal ?

unscrewing 4 screw, then it can be slide open,
from the clip.

which area do you want to cut out ? I think cutting the metal part is not an issue but cutting the plastic is biggrin.gif. ( or ask a laser cutter ) The plastic cover looks like curved or concave, so it is hollow and there is a gap between the panel and the plastic. If you attach the acrylic on the metal part, i believe you need to cover the gap, maybe use a rubber piece or maybe use the rubber floor carpet that they use for cars and modify a bit.

Yoda would have said : "A lot of planning to do, i see" biggrin.gif

Just sharing some ideas, probably others might see another way smile.gif

i also think that cut metal is not a problem...
but the plastic is tricky...or maybe u can go to the big big acrylic shop that got provide acrylic bending and shaping...
