I got one mine for RM 3799. To be honest, I don't like it all. The black levels suck. Basically there are 4 viewing modes, i.e Dynamic, Standard, Movie, Custom. Only the Movie mode does not have DYNAMIC CONTRAST turned ON and that's when its most viewable. Problem is with Movie mode, the blacks just not black enough.
All the other 3 modes have so much contrast that so much details are lost.. basically, a very dissapointing LCD TV. Read around, others have the same experience too. Sigh.. QUOTE(Taman Linkin @ Apr 3 2007, 01:10 PM) |

The z5500 has only 1 optical input right? That's gonna limit u. Why not get the Creative DDTS-100 and Gigaworks 750 or 700 (can't remember the exact model) and u have the best of both worlds..sure its more expensive but why buy something u regret later?

Hey scotty, I wanna buy something similar to your wooden rack.. where did u get u'rs and how much? I'm putting all my stuffs on a table and there's no room for an amplifier.
Thx! Oh while I'm here, can u guys recommend speakers to be used with a 5.1 receiver..Budget..lets say RM 1.5K - 2K. I have a "decent" Pioneer receiver that does Dolby Digital and DTS but its not being used now..so I'm thinking of using it again. Problem is, I have no speakers. Machines @ Midvalley Megamall used to have a 4 port HDMI switcher that costs below RM 500..If i remember correctly, its RM 480.
As with all products sold by 'Apple' the unit looks very good and 'expensive'. Even has a remote unit. However, the last time i was there, the unit was not on display anymore. If u're interested, perhaps u can give them a call to see if they still carry it. QUOTE(tot31 @ Sep 24 2007, 11:09 AM) |

^ Have u tried reseting your VGA res to 640 * 480?
QUOTE * HOLD D-Pad RIGHT until blade selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds (You are now at System Blade) OR * HOLD D-Pad UP until menu selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds * PRESS A (You are now in Console Settings) * HOLD D-Pad UP until menu selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds * PRESS A (You are now in Display) * HOLD D-Pad DOWN until menu selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds * PRESS A (You are now in Screen Format - If you get a "bonk" sound, skip next 2 steps) * HOLD D-Pad UP until menu selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds * PRESS A (You have just selected NORMAL Screen Format and have returned to Display) * HOLD D-Pad UP until menu selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds * PRESS A (You are now in Screen Resolution) * HOLD D-Pad UP until menu selection sounds stop, or 3 seconds * PRESS A (You have just selected 640 x 480) QUOTE To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps: 1. Remove any discs from the disc tray. 2. Turn the console off. 3. Turn the console on. Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left quadrant light illuminated. 4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time. 5. The Xbox Dashboard resets the display settings to the default settings, and then automatically restarts the console. Used to work for me when I had that crapola Xbox360. Good thing it died on me before I splurge on the HD-DVD add-on. Good riddance Microsoft.. I've had enough of your crappy hardware |

^ Look at the EXIF data.. Photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot SX 100 IS. I'm guessing the first picture is a stitch of 2 photos or more.
