Been thinking on bringing the sony to malaysia, butafter so many consideration, such as step down adaptor, menu in japanese, warranty wise, transportation risk, 30% custom tax,n the other barnd new model is getting cheaper here, i letgo that intention...in fact i have calculated after contatcing one of my bizz partner injapan, the total cost include tax for the new sony bravia x 250 series 46" plus DHL shipping will be around RM13k....but if it get spoilt during transportatio, more cost needs to be added to return it back....

Hmmm..interesting...do u foresee any problem on the menu and electrical connection..plus the transportation....from your experience....maybe can try this method.in the future..for warranty wise....anyone wanna try importing first....

agreee..100% agree..calibration is the key..NEVER EVER use the default setting.... ..in fact all of my input is calibrated separately under user setting..there is no uniformity for different media viewing...which makes me scratching my head when the user setting for xbox 360 and its HD-DVD add on fall under the same input...

Was hesitated at first to post my gaming setup...and finally, here is the gaming setup taken at my weekend apt with my beloved 42" Sharp Aquos G7 (1080p). All game disk, and hd-dvd/blueray movies r kept inside the TV rack cabinets. The empty space on the right of the LCD TV is reserved for the PS3. Will post my PC gaming setup later togethr with my separate audio hi-fi....

mmm....when judge-the is getting it....plan to get the PS3 together with him..I am among few of the members here that own about 8 blueray disks without the player...

Hmmm...I opted for G7 instead of Bravia X when I found out that the Asian version of 42" (G7) share the same marvelous specification as its 46" siblings as the panels made in the same Kateyama plant...and its 1080p support for xbox 360..and not forget to mention for its DVI-I input with powerful internal scalable chips for PC...can goes native 1080p easily for PC resolution ...

Yup.. all are Mission Speaker and the rest is either middle range European or Japanese products..cant afford the high end from US...expcept for the cable and connectors...I opt for the high end composition of Kimber Kabel and Audioquest....

sony bravia x is widwly available here..in malaysia since last year..and ana is using sharp aquos PX series ...n not samsung...

My goodness..dont the retailers can ship any type of consumers product...even those two doors refrigerator is much much heavier and larger than the bulkiest lcd tv in malaysia...

higly recommended to use logitech mx-5000 desktop BT set ...as it works with both of your PC and xbox 360.....and with bluetooth connection....u can even use it at a distance AWAY....
