@epie you already using one of the best ball if not the best ball out there, it may be a bit hard for some people, but the durability is excellent.
*
My experience using both model of balls, The Dunlop Fort Elite would have better durability. The 'bulu' would last longer not to mention the pressure. And this could just be me, but i feel that the ball provide better spin compare to Wilson (US/Australian Open).

For Wilson, it seems that the ball 'botak' pretty quick, which caused less spin. Pressure would not last that long.

Just my 2 cents.

My preference is and always will be single backhand, there isn't a right or wrong, choose what you are comfortable with.

This is my take on single backhand, (for the Pro's) most of them that had single backhands had a more well rounded game. They had more variety and disguise when using a single handed backhand, people with single backhands, tend to have better 'slice' shots and approach shots when coming to the net, also they tend to have better volleys.
If you are talking about overall success of single hander's there are more World No:1 players that were single handed players and there were double backhanded.

Double backhand pro's: Very solid ball striking when on, seldom you have shanks ala Federer....,you can create sharper angles due to strength of extra arm, double backhands are especially good for return of serve, Agassi was a prime example, now Murray, Djoker are excellent return of servers.....

Cons:I rarely seen a double hander consistently attack the net, most double handers are extremely fit people who prefer to stay at baseline and win from there, double hander's need an extra step in order to set up.

For social tennis , I think nowadays the 2 hander is 75-80% popular mostly due to the fact you see results faster, student feel more satisfied, however 30-45% of them from this 75-80% will just a mediocre 2 hander, other coaches I have seen that teach a 2 hander mainly tell the student to 'loop' the ball over, ala 70's style moonball.........

To be 100% honest most of the strong players I have encountered 75% of them are single handed players, when I meet a 2 hander, I will go for really good high topspin, if the 2 hander is comfortable with this, I go to 'slice' shots, deep penetrating slice, to dinky floaters, to short angled slice shots, if I bring the 2 hander to the net will test his volley skills kau kau, esp test his backhand smash.... whistling.gif

rclxms.gif Great stuff.

And for some reason, most of the so called major rivalry would involved a SHBH & a DHBH. hmm.gif

BTW, I remember a few LYN members selling Gosen OG Sheep Micro but can't find them anymore. Anyone know who or maybe where to buy (good price) them? Cheers.

CK & Kev bro, thanks guys. Those are good rackets. But nothing to be jealous la. You guys have much better rackets & stuffs.

My brother is the one who is using the Pro Staff classic. I don't really use them as the headsize is too small and to me, it lack of power. Kept on miss-hitting. Hehe. Unlike the Radical. Bigger headsize and better power. Baseline monster. But still I miss-hit. sad.gif

He told me before that he might want to sell some of them but I can't confirm as he always change his mind. Sekejap nak pakai oversize, sekejap nak pakai midsize, now he said want to try midplus pulak. Same goes for the grip, we are usually using L3 but now & then he said he want to use L2 & L4. *sigh.

So I really need to confirm with him first but bear in mind, it wouldn't be cheap. Those are Wilson Pro Staff St. Vincent, not Chicago, not Taiwan, definitely not China made. biggrin.gif

TK, yup, its Radical Zebra OS. I used to play with the Radical Bumblebee OS but decided to give it a rest, now use the Zebra as my main weapon.

And sometime I played with the Prince Graphite Classic OS. The Graphite I'm using is the 4 stripes version (not sure exactly what generation), not the Chang version. The Chang version I believed is in different color and it's a longbody.

Kev, need to check with him first. Condition wise, I'd say it's best to inspect it yourself.

Hello fellow tennis lovers, was wondering if anyone can tell me why older rackets can be strung at higher tension than current modern rackets. I have a zebra radical and prince graphite II and the maximum tension can go to around 70 ( for the prince). Thanks.
*
Might probably because back then there's no co-poly strings. I remember seeing max recommended tension of 80lbs on POG's. And I read somewhere that Pistol Pete strung his St. Vincent at around 72lbs. sweat.gif
