QUOTE(praetorian @ Sep 29 2010, 03:06 PM) :-( damn cham like that .....if young people don't see 'live' players, how to kena inspired.....see TV and see real life big difference, and my apologies to all, I didn't mean to say our local community don't support, its just very depressing to empty seats. LTAM do send young kid to tournament to be the ballboy ++. The kids are all fired up and want to be a pro until reality come and knocks their head.I thought the local tennis lawn association would send down their juniors and young children to see, it would be nice if current state/national players were in the stands as well, its nice to know our local players, if the organisers gave special rates for local tennis clubs via grassroot level, it would fill up some of the stands. They could give senior citizens a special rate as well...its all nice to speculate, oh well I really hope from quarters onwards there is some sort of crowd.... |

QUOTE(praetorian @ Sep 30 2010, 09:22 AM) Huh how come me again!!!!! Playing tennis at the young age just not to become a pro, but also to build character. Hard work, consistency, discipline, less error and aiming for opportunities just like Nadal. I rather have them fired up and gung ho, yes reality will hit them but at least they try and aim for the dream, its good to know they tried their best. I always have hope. Also I'd really encourage all kids/children to at least TRY and play the sport. But of course say one player wins almost all the local tournaments, but doesn't get selected for state/national team, this one you cannot blame the kid/parent if they are good in tennis but not good in politic, its happened before and I am sure it will happen again. Was there to give support to our local boy, Ariez ( i think Battousai met this boy during Sukma) on saturday. A good showed by Ariez, but not many Malaysian was there to give support. Ariez lost to a French guy, 6-2,6-2. To all LYN who are going to Malaysian ATP, do shout your heart out. |

QUOTE(lelucky @ Oct 19 2010, 10:09 AM) Hahaha, norlah.. that was not true... It was rumor only i.. Wei.. next time bring all the kid to join. Very well organized not like any other tourny.1) Souvenir - 2 piece of granola bars, stickers, notepad, 1 can of 100 plus, Dunlop mini coins bag. 2) A lot of banana for energy. 3) Stock of cold drink by the court's side. 4) Punctuality.. tourny lain pernah kena drag sampai sejam ada yang pernah kena sampai 3 jam tunggu, terus meluat n then cabut. CTO will be on my recommended list apart from UMITT. |

Any style is a good style as long as it leads you to a winning way. A hideous DBH like Borg and Connor is no longer a debate after both guy won GS. A beautiful simple take back DBH like Gulbis or simplicity of Nalbandian DBH is just a talk of the day without GS. Sooner, people will say Gulbis/Nalby who? For SBH, even a slice backhand took Steffi Graff to a USD21M prize money and make Roddick looked more like a complete player. Which style? Any way that suits you.

If so, then ill pick 2DBH for more penetrating effect + slice for reach. |

QUOTE(praetorian @ Oct 28 2010, 06:25 AM) WOOOI you wanna start a war!!! Wait until you watch Ping Pong Club. I heard Pooh and Zdepth keep the DVD as a private collection. So you know, this is some kind of very "interesting" stuff.Prince of Tennis was the one of the first anime I watch........it was so ridiculously stupid, but incredibly funny at the same time.....if you wanna watch funny anime, watch GTO and Golden Boy! ![]() This post has been edited by karim_pin: Oct 28 2010, 08:25 AM |
