it was fitting... not tight... and no lah, not a bus full of perverts. Just one. But if that one preys on you, I got no space to run to on a crowded bus. I wasn't clear I guess. You guys are not understanding what girls felt like, being preyed on. If something happens, it's very traumatic. Before it happens, you sense something bad, if you can control the situation, would you not? Girls get preyed on everyday and it's getting rampant and common. You hear who and who got this and that. For a girl, and being a girl, it so common, it might happen to you. I prefer to be prepared. If I can be prepared enough to prevent something bad from happening, isn't it better? I am ONE girl, but I've been flashed 3 times in the span of 4 years. And that is just the stats of being flashed. What are other sexual innuendoes should a girl go through? Being under such situations so many times, and being only MY personal experience, what do you think the incident stats of 100 girls? 500? Female population?

Added on September 29, 2010, 7:21 pmand I'm gonna assume JAV is some porn so let's not get there.

But a bus with few ppl of malign intent? why not? There was news about 2 months ago bout a guy being robbed or his handphone while travelling on the bus. and it was a team of three men.

....... I am not paranoid. I just prefer being prepared. I have been paranoid. Like jumping at the mere puttering motor of a bike riding by too closely to me. For years. At that sound, without your brain registering what that sound is yet, your body goes stiff and still, you can feel your heart race, working so hard at pumping blood it felt like your heart vibrating your chest and trying burst out, the nauseating fear, andreline rush, the moment your brains actually register that sound, you already jumped away. You don't even have to see it coming. Your body automatically reacts. and the fact that jumping away, creating only 1 metre difference does almost nothing is freaking irritating.

I have been paranoid. I hate that feeling. This a reason why I take such precaution and such extend at protecting myself. I hate reacting without effect. I hate being helpless. I hate the feeling of being helpless. I hate not being in control when I can. I hate not doing something that could have made a difference. I hate the distress.

I got through that jumpy-paranoid phase when I read more bout self defense, getting myself a pepper spray, simulating possible scenarios over and over. So that when something happens, my body reacted accordingly without having to remember. Just reacting instinctively. I can make myself react faster and effectively too.

I bet you never jump away at the mere sound of a motor riding too closely to you. It's not the same at jumping when a dog suddenly barked ferociously at your feet.

I was watching some shows on comp, so it's okay. smile.gif I know there are ppl willing to help but should I wait for their help if I can help myself? What if no one helped? There are plenty of incidences no one did anything and just watched drama unfold.

Your gf's lucky... and yeah, lotsa chili padi out there. thumbup.gif my favourite peeps. and your gf beat the guy up. Hell yeah! flex.gif Instinctive no? I wanna be able to react like that if it happen to me. I would probably just "Hey!! You-...!!" I would think too much, like throw my shoes/slippers at the thief but my aim's not that good, might hit someone innocent... this that... yada yada..

I've never learned before. Watch self defense vids got lah. That's the extent of my kung fu. (if any, haha)

What about molestation? Snatch theft? They always prey on girls. It doesn't have to be sexual but still girls are the ones preyed. Flashing was so rampant in my secondary/primary school that hours students goes/leaves school, we have police guarding. That was how many police reports flooding the station. Enough to get police to guard everyday at 7am, 12-2pm and 6.30pm to 8pm. But when reports stop flooding, students, school authorities, police gets more complacent, then the flasher returns, even if they were once caught. Now I don't know. Kids have camera phones now. I wish that was invented back then. That time, the latest phone was phone with polyphonic ring tones. Imaging that. haha, and the following year when I was in pre-u, then coloured screens and few months later came camera phones. *getting off topic*

Does your gf gets complacent when she's with you? Cos I am. Nothing happen to me after I met my bf, (till last saturday). then I know I'm getting too comfortable feeling safe with my bf around. I should have been more on guard. Then I wouldn't have felt so helpless, I'll feel ready to unleash my wrath.

Am just wondering what's sexy to you exactly?

Isit always by what we wear (like short skirt, low-tops, or even revealing g-string)??? most of my guy friends think so although I had known a guy who once told me that he is even "turn-on" by certain moaning sound when gal bang her toe...to him that is very sexy.  blink.gif

Opening this thread in getting gals opinion.

I covered up, not sure if I ignored him by just "what" him, and I can't move on just like that. Ignorance is blissful, yes, but a hazardous move when it comes to delicate stuff like these. Should I wait for something to happen then only for an action to be taken? rather than repair, isn't it better to prevent? If a creep just stared, then ok. Lucky~.. ! But if the creep's persistent, ikut, or got up and approach me or something more then just stare, what should I do? If anything happens, it would be partially my fault for not being prepared and take precaution. Luck favours the prepared.  I want to be prepared. Maybe cos I'm a girl, I give stuff like these more thoughts.

If I get off the bus and while walking to my destination, the guy follows but I was unaware (later kidnapped/raped/whatever), it's not partially my fault for being so clueless in public? if while walking the guy walks quickly by me and grope, is it not my fault for being unaware that he's near, and the fact that I should be since the creep has been staring with malign for almost an hour?

What if it wasn't in such situation? what if the bus was full and the creep had sat next to me? I would have stood up, definitely, but what if I sat by the window? I can't escape, can I? What the hell should a girl do to even feel remotely safe in public?! It's frustrating to go for any public amenities having to take such precautions and so much tedious little details. If it was at night, alone, and lo and behold, sakit perut; cirit birit, in quiet public area, but a public toilet nearby;  as a guy, you'll enter no? but as a girl... I rather look for 7-11 or pharmacy to get sakit perut ubat, or something that I make me able to tahan till I get some where safer.

I yada yada yada so panjang, you get me? I don't think girls should wait for something to happen without taking more possible precautions. I want to know more precautions I can take should my situation had a worst case scenario.
*
Precaution? Don't go out at night. If the creep is stupid enough to follow you just go to somewhere crowded or just go out with your bf. It's actually plain common sense or get a car so that you would not need to take public transport again.

And why is it if you sat by the window you can't escape? You can't stand up and walk away ?

I can't always meet/go out with my bf, can I? He works, I have household chores, ferry my bro and his friends around, babysitting pretentious wide-eyed evil monsters cousins (once a month, they'll tire my grandma if I don't let her take a break. all cucu takes turn smile.gif ) My scenario was not just for myself, but those young girls manning stalls in pasar malam, girls working as sales reps in shopping complexes, their shift is up to late hours no?

I pengecut, I don't go out late at nights. Mom's curfew: 12am; self curfew: 11pm. I have a car, but my uncle's cr-v got crashed into by "wira ngan enjin evo" and deemed totaled only the other day. I lent him my car cos my bro's grounded for PMR, I don't need it as much as he does.. Explain common sense part, I don't think I see your perspective just yet.

you don't take busses, smile.gif do you? The seats in some busses have small leg rooms. Imagine airplanes, constantly experiencing turbulence. You have the window seat but you gotta go potty, and the guy by the aisle's got a larger than average... er- body surface area.

My car keys was the one with pepper spray... so I don't have it with me that time. Like I said, I got complacent liau.
Ace hardware's got one, pretty strong. RM49.50. Safe Guard.

Itu flasher, my last encounter, was a chinese guy. I so happen to carry experiment home. I can't remember what it was but it was something acidic, pH5-6 nia. It was blue, I think dissolved sodium sulfate with dillute HCl. I cabut the rubber stopper and splash it on his thing. laugh.gif He sped off. lol. My other friends, the flasher was indian, this time, they all stood there laughing at him. When the flasher didn't speed off but got angry, they started whacking him with heavy school bags. lol. Like I said, flashing is so common, student in my school are no longer fazed by it. There was once, I think malay guy, flash my cikgu... and my cikgu carried pen knife, she threaten him and sent him police station straight. Damn funny wei.... I watching the entire thing from across the street.

I don;t like public transport either. Cos it's not safe. And when I have to, so many details to take care off before going out. Cannot dress up oso.

When push comes to shove, I will lah. But which direction? My front facing him or my rear? either way, he might pretend to move to make space and take the chance to push himself forward. It's very uncomfortable.

You're a guy, if an old auntie with big bag of vegie/clothes/whatever sat next to you on a two-seater, you're by the window (in a bus with small leg room), and she's inching closer towards you, to the point her lower arm kept grazing closer towards your nether region... the majority of the riders are old ppl, females... and no one can see what's going on. What would you do?

.... reading back my post(s), I'm still pretty paranoid, aren't I?

They flash you, then you smart enough and say , "Yuks not nice one".

When I was clubbing in UK, there are females who flash their tits. Nobody gives a damn about it and just cheered when they do that.

The way you describe yourself reminds me of a passage from a Mills and Boon, whenever the guy starts to makeout with the girl. LOL.

that was then... during paranoia... I seriously jumped at that sound. Heighten senses and all. My friends were really spooked by me then. And when they try to calm me down by touching my shoulder, I jerked away. The entire body was just so alert and suspicious, any contact was automatically on defence and offence if must. It was tough seeing the pain look in their eyes at the same time trying to calm down and chill. and what's worst... they wanna talk about it.

Added on September 30, 2010, 4:23 pmI'm merely describing what I felt. It took me years to stop jumping. My mom was robbed by snatch theives on her way to work, along jalan ampang. She had the same experience. When she describe then, it was just a story to me. But having experiencing it years later was entirely different story.

Added on September 30, 2010, 4:25 pmDid I mention that times seems to slow down? You'll notice every detail. You'll remember what happened very vividly and yet you don't... I remember down to the assailant's slipper details, windbreaker, hair, face, look, but not his goddamm number plate!
