Thanks for the comments. I'll work more creative shots in the future. Something beyond the ordinary
I somehow like B&W for some reason. Just love the contrast. |

QUOTE(nerdphotog @ Dec 19 2010, 10:11 PM) did te comic fiesta no2 background edited? I edited the background to direct the viewers' attention to the cosplayers.cz as what i know they use orange light around tat spot. Or isit ur flash? Their costumes looked colorful, so I just desaturate everything else so that the viewers can concentrate on the colors. This post has been edited by geekster129: Dec 20 2010, 10:37 AM |

On your Comic Fiesta shots.
I like no. 1 - the expression of the cosplayer though I don't fancy a tilted angle. No. 3 I would have preferred you focussed on the eyes of the cosplayer and showed his expression. The blade is much too fake to elicit any threat (in my opinion lar) and may have been better if it was put in bokeh. We all know it's a blade so no emphasis is needed. Just my 2 cents lar. Thanks bro, really appreciate the critiques. (I have another shot which the bokeh goes the other way round (focus at the cosplayer- the rifle scope particularly rather than the props) PP-ed to remove saturation and added graininess to portray the darker side of the image itself. ![]() This post has been edited by geekster129: Dec 20 2010, 01:22 PM |

That shot would have been great if one could see the crosshair in the scope a bit more clearly. I wonder how one could remove the reflection from it.

QUOTE(geekster129 @ Mar 17 2011, 08:44 PM) Bridal Theme #1 is nice. Model: Renee Hong Location: Subang Jaya Recreational Park Gear: Nikon D90 + 50mm f/1.8D + 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G Self-criticism: - Lighting was irregular and were not able to cope with over-exposure problem. Taken as a reminder to myself to be more careful when dealing with sunlight during outdoor shooting - Composition is still too weak especially when dealing with horizon lines. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « #2, the feet shouldnt be cut off xD #3, the body part that reflected the sun light is over expose #4, the gown part is nice, and maybe if it is landscape with the background would look nice. just my 2cents. =D |
