Did u guys see the latest sale figures for August 2010 in Malaysia? Mazda2 ranks 33/50 for number of sales. Only 181 units sold in August compared to Toyota Vios (3192 units), Honda City (1901 units) and Kia Forte (448 units). Thats really poor.

that's not a bad figure, i think most of us expect this when we picked M2. we are not going to compete with the others. We want the uniqueness and enjoy our own drive!

cheers

Unique? Even the Proton Juara was unique in that case

Mazda2's sales seemed to have dropped further. Not even on the Top 50 list now.

interest rate promo now is very2 good.. 2.88% 9 yrs
Its not a promo interest rate. Nothing to do with Mazda. That's the rate offered by most banks for most of the cars now. It started in month of October this year. Toyota and Honda are offering 2.80% for their 5-9 yr loans.

Someone in Civic thread says that his SA told him can get 2.35% interest rate.. is that true? shocking.gif

Could be because Honda and Toyota usually get the best rates in town due to their sales volume. HOw many years is that for and for which bank?

Such a pity. Your car will be considered 1 year old on 1 January 2011. I wonder why do ppl continue to fall into this salesman trap all the time.....

FYI second hand dealer will not see car make/year. importantly is the mileage and condition of car.
*
U have limited info i see. Car 2nd hand value is always determined primarily by the YEAR OF MANUFACTURE. Condition and mileage are secondary issues.

You mean to tell me that a well maintained 2009 manufactured car will fetch a higher price than an average condition (but accident free also) 2010 model of same make? Common la!

My info might be limited, but how much depreciation after 5th year of using it? once a car is over it's 5th year, 2nd hand dealer will look into car condition as well as mileage.

i am limited but i do learn from some dealers i've fren with on their trade.
*
Doesnt matter about how many years. The year of manufacture is the most important factor in determining resale value. Everything else is secondary. Of course if accident car then its different la.
