Mine also only done 1k service,
not much time spend around Malaysia,
so ain't drivin tht much,get mine M2 somewhere January.
Currently just clock 5k ++

Nope iThink ea individual car is different,
like the burnin smell some car haz em some are not,
some have the brakin prob some aren't,
so overall is depend on luck
go complain at SC next round hehehe
see whether they can come out wif solution anot~

next time go SC show the salesperson or the tech call them to rectified the problem.

Mine M2 can clock 160 kmph if downhill max 170kmph so worried not,
as we bee informed it already had speed cut 180 kmph
but somewhat a frens of mine his can clock 200kmph,
so overall....you know~

dun worry bout the burnt smell...just go to any SC...they already know this problem...

bout the topspeed...i never reach above 110kmh...

last time some engineer come from 21-25 May 2011

im not sure about tat...but this time they want to rectify a problem for steering rack...that is wat ive been told by SC...

I have changed my front headlamps on Thursday and today while the engine is idling at the traffic light, the car is jerking and engine and battery indicators are both on. I quickly change it to “N” mode.

This is my biggest worry as it has been in the service centre for few times in April 2011 and it seems like it is happening again. Is the changing of the headlamps related to the battery wirings?

The technicians at PJ SC seems to be very young, worried that they have missed out something.

they are very young...but every after they service ur car...there are senior technician to confirm their job done accordingly to procedure or not...

so where does the burn smell come from..?

the burnt smell comes from something inside dashboard...i dunno how to describe...but the solution is they wrap that thing with plastic cover n tight it far from the hot parts that burnt that thing...

Bro not all SC knows on this burnt smell. Melaka SC has no clue on this. Anyway yes, i heard from the headquarters, some1 is coming to inspect the M2. hopefully mine is rectified by then.

I renew my insurance thru a friend of mine, and just so happens she manages berjaya sompo as well so I continue with it.

I switch to others after 1st year with Sompo

so meaning it is something burning..

i think our car can hit 180km/h 1... juz maybe the engine haven't "warm up" gua~ haha! my dad's fren engineer also driving M2.. this car he suggested to me.. he say he can hit 200=.= he ask me to drive a long distance.. bcuz i get the car 2 months but keep driving off road only.. juz go for college.. so he ask me to drive a long distance like drive from KL to Johor or penang.. let the engine warm and open...any 1 interested to drive together? M2 team ??haha!!

well, Mazda 2 is 1.5L engine.. why wanna drive so fast? it will only hurt the engine in long run. Mazda 2 running less then 150km/hr is already recommended... 200km/hr? you definitely gonna feel the vibration when driving at that speed.
