the mech is saying maybe my brake rubber wears, he will check it. i said couldn't be. it almost felt like the tyres are not gripping the road at all.

The burnt smell already had solution back to few pages on this thread.
Yeap,iDo realize when we doin some sharp fast cornerin or turnin
when we hit the brake it seem to be couldn't clamp, clatter or whatsoever bad feelin there~
iSHould sayeth some sort of malfunction..scared the sh!t out of me...
lucky nothing bad happened~

yupss...the burn smell is the most common one...n they didnt rectify it in factory sadly...if owner complaint then only they help customer...thats the only problem with mazda i didnt satisfied...

but honestly...those problem u mention i didnt encounter before...or maybe i rarely drive this car like mad...so its un noticeable...

i didn't drive my car like mad. it happened on my first time to avoid a pedestrian when i was turning to left. i pressed on my brakes but it steered away. only thing to do is shift to lower gears and press the hold button

I had a similar experience, the brakes seems like it lost all its grip, it happened when I hit my brake while turning into a 90 degree corner in a shopping mall car park at 20km/h. The car when straight even with my steering wheel turned, and at the same time the brakes felt like it totally lost all friction.

wanna test the brakes?
easy. get few different cars, urs, Toyota, honda, even perodua.
then get a grassland. or a little sand land . distance is around 60metre. Drive as fast as u can, 30KM/h ok la. then do a sudden brake. see the difference of all the cars performs. Make sure all cars tyre thread is good. dun want any mishap
