QUOTE(shahz @ Sep 10 2010, 05:23 PM) HTC Legend..nuff said..wifi problem usually is a problem with its radio version..soon a new one will be rolled out and fix the issue.. I heard it's due to the unibody aluminium enclosure. I have a friend who has a Legend, WiFi and even call signal is very weak... I use WiFi a lot all around the house so it's going to affect me a lot... |

definitely not worth the 400 bucks savings la
the low res screen is really a turn off dude if you can find Legend then just grab it. Wifi at home will not be much a problem since you are quite near to the router custom rom will do amazing stuff to radio and such |

QUOTE(TheWandererX @ Sep 10 2010, 05:28 PM) Seeming as the Wildfire has been out for 1-2 months, is it still a VERY big problem? I'd appreciate the RM400 savings, I'm not that rich you see ): it's not a "problem"it's just that wildfire is for android new users....means amateur once u get a hang of it...you'll want more...thn at that time you'll want legend so if you're in budget...why not just directly get a legend |

Have you considered other brands?
Maybe you can look at galaxy 3 from samsung. Priced slightly lower than wildfire, but with specs that are more in line with legend. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Sep 10 2010, 05:39 PM) it's not a "problem" I like the way you think, exactly what I think too. Considering even a Desire now it's just that wildfire is for android new users....means amateur once u get a hang of it...you'll want more...thn at that time you'll want legend so if you're in budget...why not just directly get a legend QUOTE(whitegoh @ Sep 10 2010, 05:42 PM) I don't mind if the Legend is really better than the Wildfire, but 600MHz is a tiny step up and the poor WiFi and signal quality is horrible. QUOTE(KannaSai1 @ Sep 10 2010, 05:43 PM) Problem is my original budget is 1.1k, but now I'm considering the Legend, 400 bucks up, and now Desire, another 350 up? I can afford it, yes, but I need the extra money to upgrade my camera too. QUOTE(MYstombox @ Sep 10 2010, 05:44 PM) Have you considered other brands? Certainly not considering Samsung, as I like HTC Sense and have had horrible experiences with Samsung's products over the past few years. Thanks for the suggestion though.Maybe you can look at galaxy 3 from samsung. Priced slightly lower than wildfire, but with specs that are more in line with legend. |

Look bro, android is something that you want more and more as you experience it..and on wildfire, you will be cursing over this rm400 that you saved..trust me, a friend of mine had the same regret when bought a htc tattoo instead of htc hero back several months ago..today he's saving again to get a desire..even selling the tattoo is difficult..these are the challenges if you buy cheaper phones..
My suggestion? If only those two are your options, go for the legend..if you take my personal advice, save a little more and go for the desire..you will thank me one day if you do so..haha |

Legend or Desire would be better as they are true "android" phones

forget about wirefire, not worth the RM400 saving. IMHO pay a bit more and get the Desire.

QUOTE(TheWandererX @ Sep 10 2010, 05:20 PM) My current phone just died on me, and needing a replacement, a one that would last me for a while, preferably years to come. If you have more budget, you can go for legend, if you want to save RM400 for other things, go for wildfire.Torn between the Legend and Wildfire, needing some serious help and advice here. Pros of the Legend: Unibody aluminium AMOLED screen 600MHz processor Cons of the Legend: Poor WiFi signal Pros of the Wildfire: Cheaper by 400 bucks Looks better Cons of the Wildfire: Can't use some apps in Android Market due to the new resolution Less future-proof than the Legend Are there anything else that needs to be brought into consideration? I am needing a phone urgently, so your kind help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

between legend and wildfire, go for legend since the wildfire is only an entry level device.. getting the legend is sorta a must if u can afford it... when u have extra budgets, do consider going for desire since its not such a big difference.. the desire surely wont be a let down

It's one of those sexy beasts that can trump my backup white iPhone 3Gs. Desire is a bit too big for my liking. What do you think? EDIT: If Desire had a white, I'd definitely go for that LOL.
