was using the stock finland ROM. i think it's best you re-flash direct to LiquidArc ROM. definitely much better and gives much better battery life

another one that i might try would be Barebones, if you like customising your own phone massively

Added on April 2, 2011, 11:51 pmi just realised that LiquidArc ROM has no APN settings, meaning you wont be running 3G or getting MMS.

add this in your Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Network Settings/Access Point Names, Add APN

Go to: Settings > Wireless and Networks Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Name: Maxis 3G
APN : unet (or net for 2G)
Proxy : 202.75.133.49
Port : 80
MMSC : http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
MMS Proxy : 202.75.133.49
MMS Port : 80

Others leave blank, then save your profile

i think with the settings, battery life shorter la...i tried to have a non-existent settings, ie, everything empty except APN : net

not sure if can help battery life, but i still see Edge being used. does that mean i'm on 2G? if cannot tahan, maybe i should just delete all the APNs

i still think after putting the APN settings, battery life went down lah, although i tried using 2g only, still not as good a empty APN.

personally, i think DEFY has a good balance of performance, size, battery life, and most importantly, price.

for it's price, i think this is most value for money phone in the market, which is why i bought it

what do you mean the call settings is gone? you can just reset it with setting right? in call volume low, again...change in settings?

i had this problem when i was using the finland ROM 3.4.2-145 but with liquidarc, no issues
