Will need to flash back to stock and upgrade to official froyo from there. These are just custom froyo based on official build but it is not actually optimized for Defy just yet. Cause the cpu score on quadrant for froyo still very low compared to other phones with official update. Linpack score of 14-15 on froyo is a joke still
If you are running on current froyo build with motoblur the performance is almost identical to eclair's. With deblur, it seems to run smoother but not by much. There aren't any significant issues with latest build but it does seems to make the flash led weaker. Other than that, this phone still stood atop all other smartphones in terms of toughness and durability while trying to wow the ladies |

I would recommend jboogie3 orange deblur and apply the update.zip. That guy's rom have been heavily deodexed and optimized with around 200mb free ram. For sure won't encounter any restart even will heaps of running apps in the background

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Feb 17 2011, 05:16 PM) i iz feeling weirded... It is advisable to reboot your Defy at least once a day. The slowness may due to your free rams are lower than your wife's though. Get a task killer and kill off unwanted running apps in the backgroundme defy is slower/not as smooth as my wife's defy. both bought at same time... and she has more crap in that phone than i do! |

QUOTE(shark7 @ Feb 18 2011, 09:38 PM) already watched it.not bad,but what if someone called while the phone was on water, will the ringtone sound ?just curious , If compare to htc and samsung yes this is very cheap. Motorola has always been more on value for money thoughand how come the price is quite cheap compared to others ..for such a good longer lasting phone camera 5mp .can take video in water but quality sucks a bit Added on February 18, 2011, 11:20 pmPersonally I would choose american brand over asians This post has been edited by lingch: Feb 18 2011, 11:20 PM |

What you mean its not working? Did you flash it to other rom or it just suddenly refuse to work for no reason?

My on/off and volume buttons can rattle. Probably because I dropped it too many times lol. I got skype too and no problem making calls to overseas. I use it a lot to make calls to Germany though
As for the swype, really no app in the manage application? Can't be ler O.o |

I think the battery is very long lasting though. I installed motocharge which indicate 1% charge/discharge rates. Let it on screen off running at 300mhz 12am-12pm only reduced from 100 to 95. My previous xt 1390mah same setup but reduced from 100-80. So yea, this battery is a beast

If your defy contain motoblur you will see a 'blur' sign at the back cover next to the M logo of the phone. SEA sets all doesn't contain blur services but still includes some of the applications and blur ui. Rip of the blur apps doesn't do much help though cause there's no blur services to begin with.
It is fundamental on 1st charge your phone overnight charge and some batteries may need few days or up to a week to make itself get used to the essential consumption. So yea, give it few days you will be surprised |
