i cant really wait for unifi to come to Kerinchi. Last month saw some contractor installing something in Telekom riser room and i ask them, is it for vdsl? and they said "yes". right now paying RM130 for 1Mbps streaamyx. when unifi officialy available here, going to terminate the contract and get 20Mbps BTW, how's the performance for 20Mbps?

i dont think MUTV will broadcast live matches. even their official website and MUTV (in official MU website) also didnt broadcast their live matches. i guess its all because of license issue.

yes, MU is under EPL, so EPL owns the right. EPL will produce the license and companies in certain country have to bid for the license. well, i try to tell you the short version. i'm sure the process is more complicated.

QUOTE(otosan @ Nov 8 2010, 01:38 AM) Yes it should be... =] Added on November 8, 2010, 2:26 amActually the DLink 615 itself is not that bad... It got a lot of feature inside, but since the one that we use is produced specifficaly for TM, and produced with a lot of amount but on a limited budget (this is what i believe ), i'm not sure the quality control is as good as the normal edition out there. That's why we found a lot of faulty router experience here.. For what i feel, this router is not capable to handle too much traffic on it, if u use it for personal light use, maybe it won't be a problem. But if u r heavy user or there r a lot of user connected to internet at ur home, and all of them use a lot of traffic, then this router will soon catched on a jam, and the connection starting to messed up... I think it's very depends how u "abuse" it... LoL hey, i got a question. if i want to use "normal" DR615 (not the one that TM provide), will it be different? do we still need to do VLAN tagging? i'm thinking to change a router once unifi is available in my area. will use the router for occasional direct download but importantly, will not mess up with my online xbox live. if the "normal" one is good enough, there's no need to spend so much for a good router. but if its the same, i dont mind to spend the cash as long as i'm not throwing my controller in frustration losing online due to lag (unless i'm a noob, lol).

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Nov 8 2010, 10:02 AM) VLAN tagging by port (whatever they call it) is compulsary. The Unifi runs on that. QUOTE(otosan @ Nov 8 2010, 04:20 PM) I'm not sure whether the "normal" black DIR 615 gonna be better or not, maybe u can try flashing it using DD WRT firmware to maximize it's function... as for VLAN, unfortunately it IS still NEEDED..., except u don't want to use the HypTV, hehehe maybe better u spend ur money to get one good router with a good traffic handle capability, and bridging it with the TM DIR 615, so one device only do 1 job in one time, doing VLAN tagging n another one Routing the network..., should be more stable i think... CMIIW owh, ok. Thanks bros for the answer. maybe i'll do some research which router is good in the mean time while waiting for unifi to be available.

QUOTE(mandelism @ Nov 21 2010, 05:40 PM) Jakun, Kerinchi area bro, which block is your apartment? i'm in block 6 ( the blue one) i've already check our address at TM point but it is still not available. that was last month. last week there's some changes at block 6 SDF room. previously there's only a sign "Telekom" on the door of the room but now there's a new sign which is "SDF room" with TM logo on the door. does your block have changes on the SDF room too? besides, i heard by end of this month, unifi will cover 8 new exchange (or was it 6?). hope PJ Central exchange is included.

QUOTE(YooNJuN @ Nov 21 2010, 10:43 PM) Vista Angkasa Block 8 here , applied for unifi at september , no news from TM , and I saw the MDF room with TM sign too . if your fixed line number starts with 7, most probably your number is at PJ Central Exchange. so far pj central havent been covered yet. like i said, maybe end of this month, next month or early next year.
