QUOTE(techi5 @ Nov 21 2010, 11:48 PM) i'm a freaking proud vip20 user! 2 most important factors, this is TM we are talking about, and you are not really running a speedtest, you are actually running a benchmark of your connection speed. You are not in control of all variables, variation in results is very normal.next test 19. another test 16. then back to 23. why speed not constant one? anyone same wit me? |

QUOTE(YooNJuN @ Nov 21 2010, 10:43 PM) Vista Angkasa Block 8 here , applied for unifi at september , no news from TM , and I saw the MDF room with TM sign too . if your fixed line number starts with 7, most probably your number is at PJ Central Exchange. so far pj central havent been covered yet. like i said, maybe end of this month, next month or early next year. |

QUOTE(techi5 @ Nov 21 2010, 11:48 PM) i'm a freaking proud vip20 user! Best test is to do simultanous download. Check the sustained speed. That would be your best gauge instead of relying TM's speed test.next test 19. another test 16. then back to 23. why speed not constant one? anyone same wit me? |

It has been quite sometime didn't access this forum since my RB750 been running perfectly so far, hope I didn't miss out any interesting topics
Anywhere, just an update that soon there will be a replacement for DIR-615 on retail market! Recently by chance I met the TP-Link MY+SG sales manager, we talk a bit on routers and when we talk about UniFi topic (especially on the DIR-615 problem), he immediately offer to pass me a beta test unit TL-841ND http://www.tp-link.com/products/productDet...odel=TL-WR841ND They have actually customised a special firmware for UniFi to have both vlan.500 & 600 tagging on it, my initial test on my 5MB Huawei BTU seem to be very encouraging: I have yet to test out IPTV and WiFi, so far it seem like I'm the only end-user to test out the unit, been busy lately .... Since I'm not that technical enough, would really appreciate any sifu here can let me know on what else need to be tested, telnet to check or whatever need to be improved on the firmware. TP-Link developer has committed to work & support all the way, their main purpose is to allow consumers to have flexibility in choosing/replacing UniFi routers. According to him, once the beta firmware tested & confirmed ok, they will release it on their official website solely for Malaysia UniFi users. Later users can either buy the product and update the firmware, they may also release a pre-pack package for UniFi Malaysia. |

QUOTE(gs20 @ Nov 22 2010, 10:41 PM) Experiencing poor performance with UniFi in Bandar Sri Damansara as well. Web pages are loading very slowly and HTTP downloads are running at < 100 kB/s on VIP5. It has been going on for the past few nights. Performance in the daytime seems okay though. What's up, TM? |
