Have an interesting story to share. To cut a story short...
TM techs came to my house, they seemed surprised with my custom router setup. Asked me how to do it. I directed them to unifi.athena.my as well as this thread, told them about Microtik and all. tongue.gif

That's the one by YTL right? And I'm not referring to their wimax...

Added on October 25, 2010, 8:40 pmEh, I thought that VIP20 users are getting the earlier premium channels for free?

From what I see on their website and on the tv crawler, this is not the case. Did TM make a u-turn or what?

With all the problems that some of us are facing, I guess we need to bring the complaints to MCMC instead of through their technical support line.
I will do it by this Friday if my VIP20 is still giving me 2mb download. Almost 1 week of problem.
*
You don't have to wait that long. Just do it now. Include your speedtest results and all. But before that, have you lodged a report with TM regarding the slow connection? If you go straight to MCMC, they (Telekom) can say something like "oh this user didn't report the problem to us, how are supposed to solve it in the first place?"

IPTV service is back to normal rclxms.gif

Mine appears to be working well 2 days ago. Yesterday evening it stopped functioning again, the same network unreachable error.
Interestingly, a few hours before that I got a call from TM asking me whether they can close the report. Thank god I said no.

Thanks

Said this before but no one noticed.

Remember previously we were told that VIP20 users will get the earlier premium channels for free? (BBC lifestyle, FTV HD, etc) This was even mentioned in their website.

TM changed their mind somehow, and now now it's the same basic channels for all. doh.gif

My unifi speed test is half again, really disappointed with their service. Paying vip20 but get speed of vip10 and below.
*
Have you lodged a report? I got a similar problem with my upload speed last time and it was fixed.

According to this thread (check the pdf file, replies from TM Corp. Comm.):
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1631162

VIP20 subscribers will get back the premium channels that were promised earlier. I asked Unifi's CS and they have no idea about this. Anyone else asked them about it?

I subscribed in April, and I've yet to get back the premium channels. Asked their CS and was told that they haven't heard anything from the higher ups.

Remember, the premium channels you're apparently supposed to get is the original 8 "old" premium channels. Not the "new" premium channels like SyFy, etc.

If this is true, I guess this could be something tentris can bring up with the TM Management.
*
Yup I'm aware of that.
tentris seems to be away or too busy, I got no reply on that thread.

Sigh, 3 days without Unifi... Technician says will come to have a look.

Wonder if I can write to TM to claim for rebate? I am paying RM200 + per month for this service and 3 days is about RM20 ....
*
Yes you can. Ask them for it. They will take their time though...

Did you write to them? I'm another extremely unhappy user. Said premium during sign up, when trial over, become basic channels.
*
Nope, I wrote straight to SKMM coz when I called them the CS said they're unaware of the fact that TM Corp. Comm said the premium channels will be given back.

I even attached the screenshot of their website that states VIP20 users will get premium channels. Got it from the earlier unifi thread here. biggrin.gif

Perhaps you should report to SKMM too. If you need a template I'll be glad to fwd your what I wrote, in BM. laugh.gif

Well the good news is, I just called and they informed cust that registered before 1st Nov for VIP20 will get 8 FREE PREMIUM CHANNELS.
*
Which number did you call? I just called their hotline and they STILL have no idea about it, still giving the same "oh masa tu ada promotion..." bullcrap. I told the CS that it was clearly stated on the unifi website last time, even on their earlier brochures. Those liars even put it on their original Unifi FAQs!
Even the T&C on the service acceptance form I signed states nothing about the premium channels being 'on promotion' for VIP20 users. Even their usual 'TM reserve the right to amend this T&C at will from time to time' (or something along those lines) is not there.
Will be in contact with SKMM tomorrow for updates on my report..

No cap when I downloaded on MU yesterday.
Sometimes it's just the MU server. Some files are slower, some are fast. Generally most are fast.

After numerous complaints to TM's inept CSR and reports to SKMM I finally got a rebate from TM due to the many failures of their iptv in October. RM149.40 off. That 40 cents is a mystery.

Next up, the return of the 8 premium channels with no extra charges.
