How much we need to pay extra for Caller ID?

I tried yesterday to reset the STB by pressing the button next to the small LCD screen and it suddenly starts working! Then I tried to verify this is not just a fluke by switch it off (using the remote) and starting again, it started to download some updates and on completion the server error (#100081) returns. This error always occurs prior to the splash screen that shows the Hari Raya Puasa greeting. I unplug the power cable from the STB and it started normally and working again. The lesson from this episode is that somehow, the upgrade process played a part in the server connection error.  Anyone who have this similar problem with their IPTV connection can verify this for me?

I have a problem with Caller ID. On my old telephone (non-DEC, TM 'approved', about 10 years old, with Caller ID capability), there is a problem with Caller ID. The first time (after a long time of no usage) of the phone, it does fails to trigger the caller ID. If I disconnect the call and I call the line again immediately (using my handphone), it will show the caller id no. This however, DOES NOT HAPPEN on the supplied DEC (as well as my other Panasonic DEC wireless phones). Can you test this out and let me know??

I understand one has to pay for RM 3 per month for TM fixed line.

I used it continuously for a week, internet, online gaming, uTorrent, DC++, no disconnection WAN IP the same, also IPTV on at the same also no jerk, seem to be perfect for me!
I'm now using that DIR-615 as bridge for IPTV only, I just want to "stress" it within the 1 year warranty period 

Yes, basically you can use any of your currently router, just setup the PPPoE user ID & password [like Streamyx] will do!

Strange, if sometime ok sometime not, could it be the line problem?
Also, could it be the DIR-615 or STB start to give problem already ?

I never have any problem on IPTV, except for the minor issue on STB LED display, which was replaced with a new unit on the 3rd day
RouterOS, are you using RB750 series?
At this moment no idea on RB750 yet, but there's plan to test RB750 very soon, stay tune .....

Got the rb250 this afternoon. 8 pm, the whole thing was up. Follow http://unifi.athena.my/index.php?option=co...id=55&Itemid=67 to the LETTER and you will have NO PROBLEMS. REMEMBER upgrade firmware to 1.2.

I checked speedtest and ping test and everything checks out.

But when I surf (maybe it's me), I feel it's abit slower than the stupid DIR615 configuration. - i completely dump the DIR 615. Its now BTU -->RB250GS--> Asus N16 --> Cisco AP 1225G --> PC.

Things that I might do if I am TU LAN

1.replace the Asus N16 with a Cisco 26xx (the 2611 with FREE IOS) for establishing PPPOE connection
2. replace the Asus N16 with a Cisco VLAN Manageable switch - i know the 37xx does it, but it cost a BOMB....any suggestion people? for .500 tagging and un tagging.

Utorrent (MAC) is now at 1881 kb/s - not too bad - i am on VIP20

typo...it's a cisco 1252g dual radios. N16 radios are turned off, so it's a ethernet PPPOE dialer/router. the 1252 are a gem. does not saturate when i load her with 720p materials (using PLEX), most wireless ap i tried just saturate when 720p are loaded but not with this baby. 1080 materials are still a no-no ....still need a CAT5e cables - i am not sure whether I wanna wire my home with cat5e...maybe...just maybe....

any ideas to stream 1080 wirelessly?

Moogle Stiltzkin - I am also quite interested in this home plug ethernet, can you stream 1080p through it without saturation? Does it work over a 3 phase wiring scheme? Purchase from? hehehe

Guyz,do u know how much the installer charge if i need merely around 20m-30m of lan cable in order to connect the iptv to my tv at 2nd floor??That day when the installer came and install unifi,i told them that i don't need iptv at that moment,but after a while why not give it a try..Plus already paid for the monthly package somemore..huhu..No homeplug for me as i think i'll get bad signal due to old plug point connection

It's more expensive n i do doubt it will run perfectly in the house..huhu..If i got the cable,the installation for the iptv is not that hard right??Anyone care to give me some guidance..Thanks

I'm planning for the VIP5 but looking as how complicated it is, I plan to go for the 4MB package instead though its RM9 difference.

inexpensive/free channel is what keeping me from DLing from torrent. Low bandwidth usage. Compared to Astro, Unifi TV is far inferior, if they start charging right now, it is confirm I will hop back to torrent.

They need to think carefully b4 start charging, a lot of user can hop back to torrent which will increase international backbone bandwidth usage = end up more costly to them.

I've got the DIR615, the Mikrotik RB250GS and a TL-WR941ND.

Obviously, i will use the TL-WR941ND as my router.

But should i use the DIR615 or the RB250GS to act as my VLAN?

I suppose i could use the DIR615 first until it burns out and keep the RM250GS as a backup, but i really the best setup from the beginning.

Basically, a comparison between the DIR615 and the RB250GS as a VLAN bridge -- are both equally good?

Feedback especially from those who recently got their RB250GS is most welcome.

Also, yea I know about that for the fax but was thinking will it still work if I terminate the copper line. Last time when I read this UniFi topic, some said that it doesn't work. Not sure if there are any solutions to get a fax working with UniFi (aka fibre optics).

I got a question. Can I use a home plug for two connections . one for my pc and another to the IPTV all from the same source homeplug?
