Hi guys...I'm new into bodybuilding.actually I'm focusing to make my body lean and ripped as Taylor Lautner..hee..biggrin.gif
Curious that are we allowed to add on ice cubes into our supplements intake or daily beverages?
Coz some said can, some said cannot due to the fact that ice cubes can weaken our strength during workout.
Please advice me..smile.gif

Nonsense. If that's the case, I'd be lying in the hospital with the amount of cold drinks and foods that I drink and eat. In fact, I ONLY drink cold water. The only time I ever drink hot drinks is if I'm in a cold country.

Search on cryotheraphy. Cold is actually used to accelerate recovery and decrease pain. Think, how can something that accelerates recovery, cause you to get weaker?

btw,...i read before that cold drinks can aid in losin weight too cos the body will need to 'heat' up the water 1st...

take everything with a pinch of salt...

but seriously, if u r takin creatine, it dissolves better in warm water

you are allowed but not recommended when taking proteins cos your gastric enzymes work best in acidic and optimal temperature around 40 C.

Thanx..smile.gif I've searched on cryotheraphy.Found that it's very useful but it's preferable to use ice packs for external recovery right?not really internal.

Drink cold water and always being in cool condition man, because that when your body in that state, it will need more energy to keep you warm - more energy used, more fat burned smile.gif

drink cold water could kill your workout only a myth. stupid myth

Here's another bit of reading to do.

http://books.google.com.my/books?id=Yig6eL...n%20hot&f=false

"Protein denature"

Now, proteins will denature under heat, especially with a higher BV. There is some arguments saying that heat will spoil the whey because of it's denatured chemical structure. Some say no. But so far, there has been nobody ever saying, cold is a bad idea for whey proteins. I'll stick with the safest option. GO cold. Heck, during winter, our cyclists that train in Melbourne and previously Switzerland and Japan, only have access to cold water. (These nations you can drink water from the tap) They do that, and are still winning medals. So what's the worry? Think about it biggrin.gif
