 New employer asking for my latest payslips, wondering on why ?

i worked for a company before and the environment is very chinaman, no payslip is given. so in this case, how to give?

don't think i would want them to call my employer to confirm at this stage as I have yet confirm to accept the offer. what if i decided not to accept the offer and to stay put with my current company...and they have called my employer to confirm?

Why want to show your payslip? Are they employing you based on ur payslip or based on ur skill set/experience?
