QUOTE(1234567r @ Sep 8 2010, 03:47 PM) currently im 170cm, 63-65kg...i took weight gainer constantly, but now thought of taking more protein rather than weight gainer, as my tummy is getting bigger...so if i continue work out and cardio, do i still gain muscle and at the same time reduce my tummy fat? ..its kind of hard to straight a balance btw that..my ideal weight is 70kg...but now seems my tummy is getting bigger and faster than my other body part..any idea? well you will but it will be tough to gain muscle and reduce fat at the same time.. usually people do the first part first and the latter later. because muscle helps to burn fat even when you are not working out, thats why people gain muscle first, and then later oni jaga makan to cut and burn off the fat.thanks, If you are an ecto or a natural hardgainer then you might want to gain muscle first then only cut, because ectos (like me) require a lot of calories daily due to our natural high metabolism.. or try to eat more protein instead of carbs, like take protein for your snacks and carbs only during your main 2 or 3 meals, IF the tummy is really bothering you la. TS: I was like you too.. I didn't take any gainer constantly, I only bought trial small packets that my old gym used to pack. I gained from 58kg to 65kg currently, but also gained some bodyfat in the process.. just train and eat more like 5-6 meals a day, if cannot, at least 3 big meals 1-2 snack meals a day, you'll be fine. make sure to do compound exercises.. and just in my opinion, youre gonna have to squat. or deadlift, if you wanna grow bigger. (which indirectly means gain weight, or muscle mass) |

QUOTE(vicgray @ Sep 9 2010, 12:52 AM) eat bigger portion of meat in every meal.. and yeah snacks wit protein, nuts, sandwich.. trust me you will know how little u used to eat once u gained the weight haha.. gotta lift hard and eat a lot loh. general rule that you cant go wrong with.1 way is to count calories. use fitday.com it's free, you should be eating (your weight in pounds) x (20) = the total calories you should eat in a day. I counted calories too using fitday.com and followed strictly to eat that amount of calories or more for about a week or so.. got 1kg gain ahhaa.. provided you train 3 times a week.. squat/deadlift.. yeah. |
