Wow.. Amazing nice app total make over for the original theme biggrin.gif like the rotating but still lack of some feature the original has..
*
Yup, it's amazing. That's why I prefer this than stock MIUI Launcher, which doesn't arrange app alphabetically.

I HAVE ANOTHER HD2, which im using for Windows Phone 7.5 and another EVO3D biggrin.gif

*
Hmm, I bought a HD2 for my gf (in good condition, beautiful outlook) during Feb at around RM600.

anyone having exp hang/freeze issues when using wifi?

im currently using MIUI rom stable v5 (langthang)

it occur only when im using dolphin browser and FB apps, if using other apps such as foursquare, opera browser the freeze issues not happen...

but this freeze are interminttent.. sometimes happen. sometime ok.
if im using 3G sim.. that freeze never happen.
*
langthang's NDT ROM is quite problematic. Try original MIUI ROM from miuiandroid.com.

E:failed to mount /sdcard (Invalid argument)

damn..i oredi completely reformat the sdcard.. still have this problem when trying to install zip from sdcard..basically what google say is bad format..
*
Use your HD2 to format your SD card.
Second, double check your ROM, and see whether you can open the .zip file.

After self-exile from CM ROM for a while, I've finally back to CM7 ROM.
MIUI gave me too much problem such as Calendar FC, etc. Got fed up with it and went back to CM7.

QUOTE(prolexus @ Mar 25 2012, 04:12 AM)
Just got back my hd2 from sis a couple of days back. Luckily still under warranty as they replaced the whole screen, motherboard and flex cable. Looks like my nand bad blocks have been cured for free smile.gif  My imei also changed to a new number as a result .

On another note, i had the feeling that the hd2 users have mostly upgraded their phones to better specced models. Hence, the lack of new roms releases or updates in these few weeks. It's a sad thing to see our hd2 being slowly bypassed even by the regular rom cookers. Looks like we're stuck with gingerbread until we chage up to another phone.
*
Ya, just noticed that tyween just came back and updated his/her TyphooN CM7 ROM.
Nothing new, a bit of fixes only.

Anyway, Nokia N9 NITDROID project looks promising and can be considered as alternative replacement for our old HD2.
Everyday, there're bugs being fixed.

sight need to format again..  my phone got too many bad block.. haishh..

If that happens, I guess you got to buy a new or better phone.

Not yet.

Just wondering if shop still repair this phone since my screen is not responding. Suspect that it might be the digitizer since it is under the power button. Tried pressing hard on the power button, work for a couple of times then no more. the digitizer is really dead I guess. Hoping to resurrect this  legendary phone so I can continue feeding android to it.
*
I'm afraid that it might be due to your power button on your motherboard.
My back button on my motherboard loose and eventually broken off, so my back button is renderless now.
Have to use Button Savior (found in Google Play store).

eh? I thought it was because of the digitizer since its located under the power button. I read in XDA forums that HD2 user that have working hardware button but unresponding touch screen have digitizer problem.  thinking to buy a new digitzer and replace it myself.

I don't know, but from what I see, it's my motherboard problem.

So I really got fed up and went back to GB.

Hmm, I'll try to flash to tytung's latest ICS to try and see.
If everything goes well, I'll remain it as my primary OS.

Our HD2 screen is too small for tablet view.
I see no point having it, unless you've a 7" tablet and above.

are u still with HD2 andy ?

Yes, I'm still using my HD2. Now on ICS. So far so good. Hope this continues, or else, I'm going back to GB.
Yeah, SGS3 is amazing, and the advertisement really attracts me.

My HD2 is starting to show funny symptoms now, due to my previously-replaced digitaliser.
LCD has funny black-screen and funny colour lines sometimes. Need to lock and unlock to solve this.
I'm still waiting for Nokia N9 to be finalised and stable, so I can jump ship.

Try tytung's ICS. That's the best stock ICS ROM out there. But it's not fully polished yet.
Now I'm waiting for JB to be released.

ICS can be installed on all HD2s, doesn't matter EU or TMous.
The benefit of TMous HD2 is they've bigger internal storage, hence more storage for apps.

guys, how do i get the apps to install on the SDcard instead of the internal memory? After installing the rom there isn't much memory space left. Some apps that i download install in the internal memory and cant be moved to the SDcard.
*
You can use Link2SD to manually move your apps to SD, or flash + enable A2SD.

I think the most important for JB is the smothness acceleration, but I kinda like the new notifications ... but waiting game is quite long lar   cry.gif
I can only recommend Duttys rom, the best for 6.5.x , some user still use win 6.5 for navi purpose, coz the best navi soft still Garmin XT, really love the old slide sense.  thumbup.gif
*
Yes, I've tried JB. New notification is fantastic, with date and time in it. Very informative indeed.
But a lot of bugs in JB. Sometimes I pull down notification bar, it'll stuff half way. Have to restart to solve this problem.
WiFi tethering stucked when turning on. Opening up the menu is lagging as well. Guess project "Butter" is not implemented in HD2 yet.

ICS is too lagging and WiFi tethering is a bit buggy as well. Data is not working sometimes after long period of hours.
Went back to GB MIUI for now.

HTC HD2 Android ROMs Reinvented: Introducing NativeSD .... already read the instruction but don't understand. There a you tube tutorial but in vietnam....haiya
*
Basically, it means partition your microSD into 2 partitions - FAT32 and EXT4.
Set both partitions to "Primary".
FAT32 will be used to store your music, photos, etc. EXT4 is for ROM (trick the phone as NAND).

Copy your ROM into your microSD, and install as usual using CWM.
Choose "Install SD-EXT", then tick RM-NET.
Reboot as usual and hold your POWER button to boot into MAGLDR menu.
Go to 10. Services. Choose Boot Settings, then go to boot 3. AD SD, choose NATIVESD folder.
After that, go to 10. Services again, choose Boot Settings again, choose Boot AD SD.

*PLEASE NOTE: Download your favourite ROM with NATIVESD activated.
If it's not NATIVESD enabled, it's not supported.

View this tutorial for more information.

waa, its been slow here

whats with the NativeSD  ? isit new method
*
Yeah, it's a new method because most of our old HD2 has bad sectors in NAND, so making it quite impossible to flash onto our NAND.
NATIVESD is to trick the phone that we've NAND partition on SD card, and to install on it.
Good SD cards will have higher speed of writing and reading than traditional NAND.

ooo..  shocking.gif
but if the native SD using the EXT4 partition, will it having conflict with Nand rom that capable reading or writing EXT)

UPDATE: Native SD will using specific folder name
ie
\EXT4\NativeSD\

the system layout :
#  /NativeSD/NexusHD2/
#                    /system
#                    /data
#          /PA/
#              /system
#              /data
#          /MIUI/
#                /system
#                /data
#          /app
#  the app dir is shared for all ROMs

hence it would not conflicting with other any EXT4 files used by Nand rom

thanks Andy , nice to hear you notworthy.gif
*
Yeah, bro, so for people who love to have more than 2 ROMs, they can use NATIVESD and NAND method at the same time.
They can even install multi-boot interface, which can help them to choose which ROM to boot.
This is very useful and powerful. I love this NATIVESD method, and have been longing for it.

Nice to hear from you too, bro.
Still using HD2?
