wow.. so low.. maybe u did something wrong. after OCLF should be 2000+. try using other firmware if you want higher benchmark.

Hey guys. Just joined the forum. I'm on JPC Froyo Firmware now. Wanted to ask a suggestion from you guys. I wanna try the Voodoo lagfix but I read it's good only on Eclair firmwares. I see that JM8 is the latest eclair firmware available. So the suggestion I need is, what's the best Eclair firmware that you guys have used and whether the really old update.zip rooting method on XDA would still work on the newer firmwares like JM7 and JM8?

I used JG5 before going to JPC and I know JG5 was easily rooted with the update.zip file on XDA (on the huge Galaxy S thread). Would appreciate any help.

Samsung had always been more of a hardware rather than software company.

Lets hope they learn fast from their competitors and listen to their customer demand.

hi, im on DiGi too, it never happen to me though, but i face with failed sms, not often, only when i send an sms, but currently there are sms coming, maybe this is a network issue, try with other sim card, if you still face problem, try to flash a firmware again to your phone

not a complaint.. more of a heads up to ppl planning to flash to jpk..
havent seen much reviews in here like ppl used to... wondering if its got to do with delay in offical froyo release...

ouh, another thing. after you root... seems that the 2e recovery, the format internal sd card function is missing....

Lol, the website got some hardware problems....  haiya, now have to wait..

JPK comes with self-shot camera.   
wasn't aware of other firmwares though, was on stock JF4 all this while.

Update: Woah, I cleared Level 1 ram, and 32 applications are closed. O_O That's scary, cos I didn't leave any active app running in the background.

Ditto to Colordict! They have free offline dictionaries for a few languages also!

Previously I was using Task Manager, but found out that my battery is draining very fast when I was using it. So I removed it and let the phone manage itself, until now.

I managed to download and installed latest Kies 1.5.3.10093_31.

I plugged in my SGS and it managed to detect and got connected.

But, when I try to click Save Contact to PC, etc..... i got a message "Device is in use. Stop using the device then try again".
I get the same error message when I try to check latest firmware, etc.

But I don't have any program running on my SGS.....unless there are some hidden applications?
It use to work well with the old Kies 1.5.1.10083....

Happened once or twice to me. Just pressed down power button to reset the the phone, if i remember correctly..

Few days ago, i changed from OCLF to Voodoo lagfix, observed that the battery drains faster than previous.

Then today i tried to compare my SGS and Korea's SGS, apparently their SGS is faster than mine. I did captured the video using Korean SGS, but tat guy deleted it after captured....%@$%%^@%$, so can't upload here. But, my SGS respond is slightly slower. I test after rebooted both SGS.

Btw, my software version is JG4 with Voodoo lagfix only.
