QUOTE(itman2000my @ Sep 8 2010, 11:10 PM) Would like to share my experience using the SGS with Digi Network.... i wanted digi but poor things digi did not offer me SGS phone for 1699 on the 1 year data plan, now i end up with maxis.. after my contract ends then i transfer to DIGI I was on holiday, driving frm Klang to Kuala Terengganu and then by ferry to Pulau Redang. 1. When i left Klang at night, it was raining, thus the GPS cannot lock on the sats. No issue abt that. Maybe bcoz of heavy cloud cover. 2. Abt 20km from KT town, GPS got a lock. Using Google Maps brut edition, works very well. 3. On ferry, half way to the island, Digi Network, got full bar on phone signal. Internet is Edge and then drop to GPRS. So, still can post to facebook! 4. On the island, access to internet is via GPRS slow but usable. GPS is ok. not a issue. 5. On the way back from KT town to Klang, GPS is online 99% of the time. Did hv a signal loss abt 6 times but got a relock few minutes later. Internet access is mostly Edge. Now, who ever says that Digi coverage is bad??? : With the experience i had on Digi Network, i can say it's the best there is in the market. If the area u are at has 3G, u get 3G, if not, HSPDA, if not Edge and lastly GPRS!! On the island, i can still surf the net but of course slow. Good for checking yr emails, and post to facebook. |
