You can try calibrating the battery by doing the following:
Prerequisite:
Clockworkmod Recovery installed.
1) With your phone on, get your battery charged to 100%.
2) Unplug the charger and turn off your phone.
3) Plug in the charger and have it charged to 100%.
4) Boot into recovery mode -> reinstall package -> advanced -> wipe battery stats.
5) Reboot your phone and continue using.
My phone battery improved A LOT after doing this.
Charge your battery when it's about 30-50%... discharging it fully harms the Lithium-Ion battery. Discharge it fully only once every 30 charge cycles or if you don't wanna do that, you can just boot into recovery and wipe battery stats.
Nope.. you don't need Clockworkmod Recovery for that. What you need just Root and Terminal Emulator.
The steps I've taken:-
1) Using Terminal Emulator, remove the /data/system/batterystats.bin
2) Turn off the phone and charge till full (the battery symbol fully green)
3) Turn on the phone and charge till 100% full.
And yes, the result is good. I still have half of battery after 1 and 1/2 day usage include about 45 minutes Papago GPS and normal network, facebook and game.
I decide to do this when I feel after a while, my battery life become shorter. Seems like this is a known issue for Android since the above steps I get for G1 phone.
