No, my internal SD card has more than 13GB and my external SD card has more than 14GB....that's why I'm at a lost...
*
Check your Internal Phone Storage. For Eclair, it will install there instead of Internal/External SD Card.

Hi sifus,

If I go to Settings, Privacy, Factory data reset. Will my phone be reset to current JG 4 firmware or to JF 4 when I first bought the phone? I think I have messed up on the vlingo installation and would like to clean up the phone to start all over again. Will factory data reset help me to start all over? Thanks
*
If your current firmware is JG4, then it will reset to JG4.

Yeah... i've just got my SGS just now and using Digi Smart Plan. To my surprise the speed is very very good here in Subang. I got HSDPA signal with speed of 1029kbps/365kbps dlod/uplod, tested using speedtest.  rclxms.gif

Agree. My place Puchong also same speed. Using smartphone especially Android, you need to jailbreak your self!!!

You can try calibrating the battery by doing the following:

Prerequisite:
Clockworkmod Recovery installed.

1) With your phone on, get your battery charged to 100%.
2) Unplug the charger and turn off your phone.
3) Plug in the charger and have it charged to 100%.
4) Boot into recovery mode -> reinstall package -> advanced -> wipe battery stats.
5) Reboot your phone and continue using.

My phone battery improved A LOT after doing this.

Charge your battery when it's about 30-50%... discharging it fully harms the Lithium-Ion battery. Discharge it fully only once every 30 charge cycles or if you don't wanna do that, you can just boot into recovery and wipe battery stats.
*
Nope.. you don't need Clockworkmod Recovery for that. What you need just Root and Terminal Emulator.

The steps I've taken:-
1) Using Terminal Emulator, remove the /data/system/batterystats.bin
2) Turn off the phone and charge till full (the battery symbol fully green)
3) Turn on the phone and charge till 100% full.

And yes, the result is good. I still have half of battery after 1 and 1/2 day usage include about 45 minutes Papago GPS and normal network, facebook and game.

I decide to do this when I feel after a while, my battery life become shorter. Seems like this is a known issue for Android since the above steps I get for G1 phone.

Is turn-by-turn navigation available in Google Maps in Malaysia?
*
QUOTE(wongblack @ Sep 14 2010, 02:07 AM)
Officially not yet.
*
You can use brut map. They modified Google Navigation to make it work internationally. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630887

Ah, forgot about wifi.

Me, Apart from my house, no wifi for me. sad.gif

So data plan is crucial. laugh.gif
*
Right... even my house and office have wifi, but I still think Data plan is a must especially when you go out shopping or raya. You must go out to other places instead office and home only rite.. hmm.gif biggrin.gif

Haha, I want to get this combo as well. smile.gif
So instead of having to turn on AP on the phone to share, I rather do it via a mifi. And if my family wants to use it, they don't have to keep asking me to switch around my phone settings. Just turn on the mifi module and they can surf outside.

AFAIK, the digi smart plan can be used on the mifi for RM68 3GB a month quota.
*
nice solution. But it will a bit crampy when you are in GPRS network and sharing with multiple user. 3G and EDGE should be ok I think.

Same for me. I am on JG4 and voodoo lagfix. No problem with my phone. I saw you post few pages back. Seems like you screwed up your firmware. Maybe you want to re-flash your phone.

Even you are a bit unlucky, but you still lucky. My friend waited for 1 month for his Desire motherboard replacement. His motherboard burnt while charging due to over heating.

I just rooted using the update.zip method but i can't find the busybox app. I downloaded one from market and when i ran it, it mentioned i have another busybox in the system. Where can i find it and what's the function of the busy box apps?
*
Try download terminal apps. Then type su to go to super user mod. If you can, that means you already have busybox.
