QUOTE(kfc @ Sep 8 2010, 04:40 PM) I've just found GT-I9000【GEngine】Rom V1.2 online. just do a search about the rom. all came out in mandarin. can explain a bit about what this rom?have any of you tried this rom yet? seems to be cool. not sure whether I can include link to this. Added on September 8, 2010, 4:44 pmhey mate. thanks for the link. I'm still new in this android phone. I would like to know how can I keep all of the installed app, data and configurations in this phone when I flash it with new rom? Am I going to lose all of the configurations after flashing? is kies going to back up the configurations for us and can we sync back later on? thanks in advance. most of us here use Titanium backup. just search for it in your Market app. titanium can almost backup everything. u may also have a look at MyBackup Pro but it a paid apps. i never use kies as my backup software, so i have no idea what it does. for backing up contacts & calendar data i would suggest u sync it your google account. everything will setup wirelessly. |

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Sep 23 2010, 02:53 PM) Hi guys, can install even you hv rooted your phone. use the OCLF 2.0, better. My SGS is currently rooted with the One-Click Root.Rar (no lagfix). If I want to install Ryanza OCLF now, do i need to unroot first and then install OCLF (which comes with both Root and Lagfix)? Or can I just simply install OCLF eventhough my SGS is already rooted with another software/ tool? Thanks |

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 23 2010, 04:26 PM) tried it. it actually JHJP4, same as in samfirmware.com startup image changed from S logo to Orange network image. quite fast but have problem with some market apps not appearing. so back to JPH, not bug at all for me.Added on September 23, 2010, 6:56 pm QUOTE(GreenGoat @ Sep 23 2010, 06:34 PM) hello all.. the first few day the battery will drain fast. wait a week & charge you battery properly, it will last at least 2 days. i have SGS bought from maxis, haven't flash it yet but yesterday i root + apply lagfix on it... but now i discover battery drain so fast how to solve this problem? thanks tips: 1. please charge your battery when it down to 25-30%. dont wait until below 25%/empty to charge 2. set to 2G/GSM only network. only change back to 3G when you need the extra speed. QUOTE(GreenGoat @ Sep 23 2010, 07:34 PM) no wonder u can last up to 2 days with SNS disabled i could last 1 day + if my fb & twitter set to auto update & filled my homescreen with auto update widget (Beautiful Widget -weather update hourly) & Newsim ok with fb update as long it can stands for at least 1 day or more .. for time being i switch off fb & twitter, if not my hp will not stop buzzing every hour because of fb comments notification & tweets updates. furthermore when using voodoo fix if your forget to disable it before flashing new firmware you will mess up everyting. this happen to me once, previously installed apps appear just after booting to new firmware.
