Hi,
I had downloaded One Click Lag Fix from android market. Ran the root function from the app, and it instructed me to go into recovery mode.
When I try to go into the recovery mode, no matter how many times I tried, my phone keep starts normally. Can't go in the recovery mode.
I'd try all the below:
A) Vol. Up + Home + Power, release when first Samsung logo appear
B) Vol. Up + Home + Power, Keep holding it throughout
C) Vol. Up + Home + Power, release Power button only when first Samsung logo appear
And many more combinations, which still doesn’t work.
When I search the internet, I realised a number of people cant get into recovery mode as well but no one seems to know the reason.
Any Sifu can help me?
My phone are supposed to be locked to O2 (UK provider) and Im in UK.
Many thanks.

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Sep 10 2010, 05:08 PM) For me to enter recovery, I do neither of the 3 methods that was pointed out. This is what I need to do to enter recover. Vol up + home + power on, once samsung logo etc comes on, Release power button for 1 second, then press power again. recovery mode pops up in 3 seconds. Doing any of the 3 combination pointed out for me doesn't work. Mine is one of the earlier batches that got stock JF4 Tried just now, not working. The second time press power button does i need to hold it till enter recovery mode? Thanks

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Sep 10 2010, 05:42 PM) Yes you need to hold it, 3 seconds holding for me will then go to recovery mode. Thanks a lot, Tried again and again, no luck… I think I don't know enough to do other method to root it. Do you all think this lag issue will be addressed during Froyo update?

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Sep 10 2010, 05:55 PM) Well, I suppose it should, because it seemed like they got past it in the galaxy tab. So no reason for them not to have it optimised for the SGS. Thanks a lot for your help. Btw, If I had run the OCLF app half way but can't get into recovery mode, does it mean i had not root my phone? can i just uninstall the app and do nothing, the phone should be as good as un-rooted one? Cheers

Hi all,
I'm the one previously posted that I cannot go into recovery mode using the normal 3 buttons and im in UK.
I went to samsung service centre, they ask me to change it at my network provider shop since i just got it less than 2 weeks.
After a few visits, they finally exchange for me a new phone.
When I'm unboxing it, i realised the samsung security sticker on the box is doubled, one on top of the other.
When I peeled it, I can see that the first sticker (bottom layer) was neatly cut through and the second sticker (top layer) is nicely covering the first sticker.
I remember my first box isn't like this, there's only one sticker intact.
I went back to the shop they insisted that it came like that from samsung.
Anybody have the same double sticker on their box?
Do i need to worry about it?
Is it a signed that it had been open and re-sealed? If it is, can it be done by samsung themselves and i need not to worry?
Please let me know if any of you have the same double sticker.
Many Thanks

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 17 2010, 11:10 AM) does the new phone can get into recovery? if it can than why worry yourself about the sticker, that phone is better than your previous. I haven't turn it on yet. The reason i'm worried is that might be an indication that the box been opened before, for whatever reason. I'll turn it on tonight after i finish work. This time i might not wanna try the OCLF cause Froyo is due to come to UK next week. Will wait first
