Just now, as I was unplugging my charger, I accidentally swiped the screen and a pop-up menu appeared. On the menu there are several options: Edit Dock Settings, Launch Shortcuts and a few others. Can't recall edi.
After I exited the menu, no matter how I swipe, I can't get that pop-up menu to appear again!
Anyone knows how to get that?
I'm using LauncherPro. Thanks!

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 7 2010, 01:14 AM) err maybe you just got into one of launcherpro setting? or activate the put widget screen? Nope, it's not the LauncherPro settings or the add widget/wallpaper/folder menu. This is the first time I came across this pop-up menu also. Very curious! Edit: Oooh! I know edi, just hold the finger on the dock, then the menu will pop up Haha! This post has been edited by bunnymaker: Sep 7 2010, 01:19 AM

Not sure if you guys know this already, but there's a way to transfer files >4GB. Need KIES to connect the phone, then only drag & drop into My Computer>Portable Device (GTi9000). I managed to transfer a 7.94GB mkv movie 720p, but somewhere along the way, the encoding screwed up. Got picture, no sound! I also cannot use the slider to fast forward, and when you go back, the player does not remember where the video stopped. Has anyone tried transferring files larger than 4GB but with no problems (ie, can watch/hear)? This post has been edited by bunnymaker: Sep 23 2010, 11:59 PM

QUOTE(Jason @ Sep 23 2010, 11:59 PM) isn't the 4GB a filesystem limitation? FAT limitation? QUOTE(mengsuan @ Sep 24 2010, 12:00 AM) You cannot create a file larger than (2^32)-1 bytes (this is one byte less than 4 GB) on a FAT32 partition. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314463How did you just happened to put a 8GB single file into SGS? Hmm, KIES must have been buggy to let that happen. I found out about this method through XDA forums: http://208.100.42.21/showthread.php?t=764833&page=2 (scroll down to the last post)

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 24 2010, 12:05 AM) im no expert nor do i know much about computer and stuff but if im not mistaken if you use kies to transfer video file, it will auto encode the movie again so that it can play the file on the phone i suggest to you to use the media storage mode to transfer all media. but it is kinda slow the transfering speed people got is 5MB. most .mkv i transfered directly to the phone(even my psp), cant show the subtitle (i watch anime). if you ever have the same kind of problem, i recommend you to convert it with a software call format factory, it will embedded the subtitle into the video. Thanks for the heads-up! I will try again tmr, by transferring directly through mass storage instead of KIES. Not sure if using mass storage can overcome the 4GB limitation though, but will try!

QUOTE(ckdenion @ Sep 25 2010, 12:22 PM) i press menu button but no settings. only got Remove, Restore video links, List by im on JM2 You have to adjust the brightness when you're playing a video. Play video -> menu button -> settings -> brightness. Once adjusted the brightness, it will remain the same for all videos, no need to adjust everytime.

QUOTE(yc1437 @ Sep 27 2010, 11:19 PM) Colordict in market, use the link in th program to download/search for dicts file, very useful & freeware Added on September 27, 2010, 11:20 pmU can always use autokiller to manage the ram Ditto to Colordict! They have free offline dictionaries for a few languages also! Previously I was using Task Manager, but found out that my battery is draining very fast when I was using it. So I removed it and let the phone manage itself, until now.

QUOTE(Star_knight79 @ Sep 28 2010, 01:26 AM) Task Manager in SGS? Built-in or download from market? Download from Samsung Apps. The updated one is available. Don't recommend the one from Market, drain battery like mad!

QUOTE(emino @ Sep 28 2010, 11:35 PM) Set the phone to Ask on Connection instead of connect to USB directly. Then select USB from that list. That way works on mine. Yup, try this method. You can connect as mass storage using Launcher Pro this way. But if you want to connect to KIES, then need to revert to TW first before connecting USB.

Regarding the phone auto-restarting, it happened to me once today. Never happened before. I was downloading updates from the Market and transferring files via bluetooth simultaneously. Should it be sent back to Samsung to be checked?
Also, my call quality on the phone is quite inconsistent. Sometimes halfway through the call, the line will break up. I can't hear the other party for a few seconds, after that sometimes it will be okay, sometimes the call will end. Anyone experienced this before?
