well not the google as company that I dont trust but the fact that the account is on internet which can be hacked by anyone who has interest..i'm not gonna put my personal details online especially to free one like google mail..just a matter of choice i guess
If email is not put on the Internet, then how would it work?

Likewise if your postal service only send mails to within the same postcode as the post office itself.

Hi guys,
Am thinking of getting the SGS, but I read some comments in the forum that it lags sometimes. Also the issue with the A-GPS not working properly.
Appreciate your advises and comments.
Despite the numerous complaints on the lousy GPS on SGS, I find mine rather fine. Locking was within 20 - 60seconds using A-GPS.
Anyway, I still don't trust the accuracy on built-in GPS (had my experiences with Nokia E66), hence I bought myself an external BT GPS mouse. Problem is, there's no free app on Android that allows me to connect to the GPS mouse. Even if got, it's only on 10mins period (App nane: Bluetooth GPS Mouse) and it will disconnect. You have to reconnect it.
I wished there is a free solution to this, like how I used Garmin on both my Nokia phones.

Thanks Jason for replying. I understand that by ticking "use wireless network", the GPS will lock on faster etc. What I would like to confirm is when I tick "use wireless network", do I have to enable my data connection? (My data connection is normally off as I am using offline GPS like Papago X5. I am not using Google navigation.)
A-GPS lock uses GPRS. I believe without 3G, it would work also. Though I've yet to try that.
