Hey guys im currently using JG4 firmware. Is there any better firmware to recommend ? I feel the JG4 is not so smooth in term of scrolling.

Yeah i go from JG4 to JH2 but then i feel JG4 is better in term of the smoothness with the voodoo patch. hmm anyone experience better performance in JP3 ?

Hey guys dunno if this has been posted but i find this guide in whirlpool forum quite useful as well as safer than flashing through odin for the 3 button fix.

Its a regedit hack that allow your phone to be "updated" through kies to canadian JH2 firmware that enable the 3 button recovery/download mode. It take out most of the mistake associated with flashes for those who just want to install the voodoo through 3 button recovery.

Sorry to hear that man, what firmware are you on when you apply that patch ? Anyway luckily you got the 3 button to work. If you still cant load after the S sign, i suggest you reflash it through the download mode by using odin like what xeNOS wrote.

Samsung had always been more of a hardware rather than software company.

Lets hope they learn fast from their competitors and listen to their customer demand.

Oh just dont get the asia version JG4 from samsungfirmwareworld.com its corrupted. not sure bout the one in samfirmware.com but i found quite alot of the corrupted version floating around. The one posted by TS iis good tho


As for your contact sad to say yeah its lost. Unless you got back it up under your pc or under your phone sdcard through apps such as titanium backup.

Btw have you try doing a factory reset under the recovery mode ?

Did you connect it to odin ? if not just close power re-on.

there faq on it. but the value is actually when apps will be deleted once a certain mb of ram is left. such as if you put 96 for empty app, then when your free ram goes below it, the system will kick in to delete empty app until the free ram goes back up above 96 etc.

just choose whatever setting you want. you can go for extreme ultimate etc. just play around with it and judge for yourself which 1 is better. just remember that this is not pc, not the more free ram the better .

Just becareful dealing with the value of foreground app, visible app, and secondary server. dont touch them unless you know what you are doing. However if you did screw up, a reboot would clear all the mess away so its actually very safe sort of .

Downside is that the phone will be ignored in term of software development if there's less user. But maybe there will be sgs with super TFT in the future like the tab

Yup had that problem as well. anyway i just ignored it. But somehow i think it had something to do with the android facebook apps that i use, cause the sync problem started once i had that installed. But just a hunch cause i nvr look into it lol.
