QUOTE(jujx @ Sep 21 2010, 11:17 AM) Check both of your internal SD and external SD, is there any weird naming file? They said that's the thing that causing it. thanks jujx,Easiest is to format both SD card clean i thought this wierd filename for kies connecting problem? or this related to screen flickering also?..i will browse thru my phone searching for that file..btw..is it filename or file extension? Added on September 21, 2010, 11:36 am QUOTE(turion64 @ Sep 21 2010, 11:29 AM) i had same issue. used to flicker only when on 2G. now it flicker while on wifi also. my screen only flickering when scanning only..but when scanning is over it's stop...it seem that some signal source something is interfering with our phone wi-fi signal..it's like put magnet near your tv screen...hahahaemailed samsung and was advice to sent in for warranty. but according to forrumer, it might be SD card issue..will try it b4 send warranty. guys...have u all been experiencing brightness changed when playing games and stayed there until u manually change back the brightness to desired setting..it's sooo annoying..cos brightness play a culprit role in reducing battery...evertime i stopped playing game and some apps..mostly games..e.g angry birds...i have to set up my brightness again to minimum again..

seriously...i'll take about 3 month to shift from my symbian...whether to get iphone or android based phone...first iphone tempted me...but when i get my SGS...i was afraid to root..because it's a BIG warning about bricking the phone..but i ignored it..root it the first day i bought it..IMHO..root is just awesome...it's like having juicy strawberry and cream in hot sunny day..yummy..
Added on September 21, 2010, 8:09 pmto me...my opinion..iphone is just tooo attached to itunes ...while android is independent...where you can do what u want wif your phone..ofkos there will risk upon it...i love my sgs... QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 22 2010, 07:39 AM) Froyo delayed, latest update and quote from : http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/21/samsung...r-late-october/ i guess it just waiting and hoping games from now on... Samsung's indicated in the past that all versions of its ubiquitous Galaxy S would be getting Froyo upgrades in harmony (more or less) -- and it had also indicated that those updates would be happening in September. Well, you know how these things tend to go: plans change, bugs crop up, engineers go on vacation at inopportune times, and delays happen. On that note, Samsung Mobile's Spanish division is now saying that the Galaxy S will be getting Froyo in "late October" through the Kies desktop app, though we don't know whether España speaks for the rest of the world -- it's entirely possible that this is a Spain-specific announcement. More on this one as we get it, but for now, we wouldn't count on many (if any) of these bad boys getting official updates in the next few days. QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 22 2010, 11:12 PM) so sell your phone and go, nobody forcing you here, +100hate people putting the phone down just cause one update that will eventually come, nothing wrong with the phone, it just an update. why do people keep whining about froyo update....just wait for it..it will eventually come....even droid x that released early than SGS will have OTA for froyo recently...right now i'm on JG4 and voodoo beta for cos i'm lazy to play with other software...i'm satisfied with it...and happily wait for 2.2... |

QUOTE(xeNOS @ Sep 25 2010, 03:34 PM) Just went to ip4 launch at quill 9. Roughly 500 ppl there. Well I took out my sgs n compared side by side with it and the largest diff is the screen, our sgs displays better color reproduction than ip4, black is seen as 100% black where as ip4 reproduce it lighter looks kinda likesome old skool lcd. Im no android hardcore fan bt this is obvious ! Super amoled ftw !!!!! +1...thumbs up for our SGS... |
