Will you get push notifications for your email, fb, msn, twitter app, etc when your SGS is in sleep mode?

notification bar is the top bar on android systems, pull down for full list view if there are many notifications of the same kind
SMS/MMS can use titanium, there are other apps in market that can help you do that too.
Contact list -> I exported my contact to .vcf and imported it to google, now I use google to maintain my contact list so no worries whatever happens

Can you turn on and off your notification settings from that notification bar?
Is the push notifications on the SGS reliable and fast? Have you guys encountered notifications which come in late? Or do they normally come in to your phone promptly?

I have a few quetions,
1. Can this phone read microsoft word attachments, and powerpoint attachments from emails? Also, can you edit it on your phone?

2. When you have a new comment from fb, or a new tweet, or a new IM from msn, do you have to go into the app itself to see the new notification, or will the notification automatically appear in the notification bar?

3. And lastly, can you put up a full facebook widget on the TW UI, instead of the semi facebook widget?

1) Yes, read and edit using the office suite equivalent.

2) IM notification depends on the app - trillian allows, so does ebuddy. I prefer trillian. FB or tweet - No

3) FB or twitter, samsung has a built in widget called feeds and updates, u can choose FB or tweeter or both to be included.

So meaning, for fb and tweets, you have to constanly check the app for new notifications?

It's fed to you if you want it to, but it won't appear at the notification bar. It'll appear at the widget.

Another thing, from what i understand, the fb notifications are being pulled into the phone through specific time intervals instead of being pushed right?
