QUOTE(ohmlawx @ Sep 22 2010, 01:34 PM) Hi, u can confirmed by using Qualdracom.. Open the apps, & run full benchmark.. normal SGS without lag fix will be around 9xx score, while SGS with lagfix will reach 2xxx like that.. I couldn't find Qualdracom. Did i get the spelling correct? Is it in Android Market or Google website? I tried both but failed. Is it a paid apps? Thanks

When I want to pay via Google Checkout, i am forced to select which country I am from. I tried US and South Korea but I couldn't get the correct post code or State name....I simply tembak but they won't let me go through....
So how do you all get around this?
There is no malaysia or singapore to choose from......

Hi guys,
Would like some advice coz I know some of you guys here are very experience with the SGS already in terms of firmware flashing, lagfix, rooting etc.
I'm on DXJG4 (updated at Samsung Service Centre).
I just rooted my phone using One Click Root/Unroot Tool (no lagfix).
I installed Titanium Backup (free version) and also installed Busybox 1.16.
Now, I'm keen to try out the lagfix but I'm not sure which is the safest to try.
1) Ryanza One Click Lag Fix? 2) Voodoo Lagfix 3.0? 3) Voodoo beta 3? 4) Any others?
Appreciate your help. Thanks.

I'm trying to download a backup of my current firmware DXJG4 (in case i brick my phone).
I downloaded a copy from samfirmware. But I heard someone here said there are many corrupted versions floating around.
May I know anyone of you here has tried downloading an Asian version DXJG4 fw and successfully use the firmware? Link please?
Thanks

Hi guys,
My SGS is currently rooted with the One-Click Root.Rar (no lagfix).
If I want to install Ryanza OCLF now, do i need to unroot first and then install OCLF (which comes with both Root and Lagfix)?
Or can I just simply install OCLF eventhough my SGS is already rooted with another software/ tool?
Thanks

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Sep 23 2010, 07:12 PM) Where else can I look for an inexpensive case? RM90 for me is expensive. If you like the SGP Ultra Silke case, try to buy yourself online via ebay. It is cheaper. It cost USD 19.99 plus USD 3 (postage). Total USD23 which is about RM72. I bought it that way. No need to pay RM90. Delivery is 7 days only ( no need 14 to 20 days). Cheaper option is silicon case from Capdase. There is a kiosk in Midvalley LG floor, selling RM50 only.

I have installed RyanZa OCLF yesterday.
There is a task manager called Alter Minfree. Is it good? Has anyone tried it?
Thanks

i read in xda-developers forum that one guy mentioned that if we apply lagfix it will cause damage to our SGS internal SD card in the long run.....sounds scary....
Is it true? If yes, I better uninstall my OCLF....

QUOTE(lost123 @ Sep 24 2010, 04:18 PM) i tink SGS has a slight advantage over the Desire because of the GPU and screen.. only reason why i didnt go with the desire is because of the horrible GPU on the snapdragon. cant handle 3D games well at all.. i wanted a fone that can handle games in the future.. thats why i still say that the SGS has a slight edge over the Desire.. not a draw in my opinion.. oh yes! and the multitouch problem with the Desire also made me stay away from it.. cant have the complete gaming experience without the GPU and proper multitouch.. One of my main reason for not getting the Desire is the lack of front camera...hence cannot do video call if I ever wanted to in the future

QUOTE(RoMa_84 @ Sep 27 2010, 05:17 PM) In that case, Russia don't support paid apps too. Damn... Been reading up about rooting. Just to confirm. I want to continue using the stock rom with a rooted hp at the moment. So all i need to to is apply the update.zip method on my I9000DXJG4 firmware. Is that it? What about when the new update comes? Do i need to unroot it again...update...then root once more? Thanks in advance. I'm on the stock DXJG4 firmware. I have rooted with the One-Click Root Tool. It allows you to unroot with one click too. See link below. One Click Root Tool;I will unroot and flash the official Froyo when it is out later, either end Oct or could be end Dec.....only time will tell This post has been edited by erymanthus: Sep 27 2010, 06:00 PM

I managed to download and installed latest Kies 1.5.3.10093_31.
I plugged in my SGS and it managed to detect and got connected.
But, when I try to click Save Contact to PC, etc..... i got a message "Device is in use. Stop using the device then try again".
I get the same error message when I try to check latest firmware, etc.
But I don't have any program running on my SGS.....unless there are some hidden applications? It use to work well with the old Kies 1.5.1.10083....
Anyone has any ideas why?

I finally managed to solve my Vlingo problem. Previously I installed version 1.0.1 from Samsung Task Mgr, but cannot use without licence/activation. I uninstalled it but I cannot install newer version from market. The problem is that after uninstalling ver 1.0.1, there are some leftover folder and data on ver 1.0.1 which is causing all the problem. I used my Root Explorer, use Search function for "vlingo" and found those files....deleted all of them and I can now install the latest version 1.4 from Samsung Apps....but haven't started to use it yet...
