i think both of them are the most snappy and stable rom so far for Eclair. Using it with voodoo lagfix, there's no more lag, and GPS locked down within 10 seconds, pretty amazing.

nope just remove, then flash voodoo. As easy as that, but if you want to flash new firmware ontop of voodoo, better read the official site for FAQ

its the same thing.
Make sure you REMOVE any other lagFixes before that.
Very simple steps, place the voodoo zip files in INTERNAL sd card, rename it to update.zip
go to recovery, apply update.zip
there will be cool voice to assist you, wait for it to finish, done. =)

Go here http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9000.htmFind which firmware you like, i'd recommend JM7. Read first page of this thread about how to flash firmware, re-flash it.

QUOTE(kfc @ Sep 15 2010, 10:27 AM) yeah. hate the lag. it's getting worse and worse. maybe i should root it and apply the lag fix later. Voodoo lagfix doesn't require you to root =) Just go here http://project-voodoo.org/download , download the update.zip put it inside your internalSD, rename it to update.zip go to recovery mode, flash update.zip wait for few minutes to startup, voila~ you got super fast SGS now.

much better
OCLF starts to lag when you install alot of apps, and it lags like HELL when you installing an app.
voodoo is just much smoother in every way. Try it.
BUT first remove your OCLF before you apply voodoo

QUOTE(kfc @ Sep 15 2010, 11:17 AM) thanks jujx for the voodoo lag fix tips. when I was trying to enter the recovery mode. holding power, volume up and home button. the screen just keep resetting itself. if i release the buttons it just boot in to the normal screen. what's wrong with this? i can't even get in to the screen which i can choose the update.zip. hmm, strange. Nvr faced this before. Maybe you pressed wrongly? or try to flash new firmware then. QUOTE(angel-girl @ Sep 15 2010, 11:18 AM) do u mind to share whch method were u used to flash? go here. http://project-voodoo.org/installationuse the update.zip method, is much easy. Make sure you re-name the voodoo zip file to update.zip

QUOTE(emino @ Sep 15 2010, 12:39 PM) The problem came back. After a quick google, I find that its a common problem with this phone. http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s/...sconnected.htmlDid you unplug the cable without dismounting SGS from PC? I got that once because i did that. pull down notification and dismount from there, dismount from PC doesn't work

Put your phone to download mode (hold down: volume down, home key, power)
DO NOT plug in your phone yet, Odin / driver does not like it at this stage.
Start Odin3
Click "PIT" button and select s1_odin_20100512.pit file.
Click "PDA" button and select "CODE_I9000XWJM7.tar.md5" file. Click "MODEM" button and select "MODEM_I9000XXJM3.tar.md5" file. Click "CSC" button and select the desired version "CSC_I9000???JM?.tar.md5".
Plug in the phone and wait until Odin finds it. Click "Start" button and wait until phone reboots with the new software version.
Do this and see. Don't touch other settings, not neccesary
