curently my 17 LCD is nearly 2 die so planing to replace with a LCD TV in my room+ use a a TV for TV program viewving .. now im hard to decide on both of this 2 samsung la32c450 vs lg 32lh20r since d selling price is quit near rm1299 and 1330 for lg... please help me 2 choice on this 2 baby please

My opinion, Samsung LA32450 is a better buy for me. It has good picture quality for HDTV range (not Full HDTV). Good enough for viewing normal Astro (SD picture), as it has colour enhancer and noise filtering.

Audio input support analogue, Dolby Digital, DTS and PCM. Therefore, If you have other player (i.e. DVD player, BD player, HDD player or PS3) you can set sound output to connect to your TV to Dolby Digital or DTS. This option is good, if you are playing .MKV file (using digital sound) with HDD player that do not has the said encoders (i.e. Western Digital HDD player do not has this encoder).

This TV has better internal video playback support (this is the reason I settled for this tv) through USB port. It can plays video up to Full HD resolution at most video formats (.mkv, .avi, .asf, .wmv, .3gp). It also support common external subtitle files.



But in the other hand, LG 32LH20R also would not got beaten by Samsung LA32450 in picture quality.
As the LG's also produce similar picture quality.

LG claims their TV can save energy up to 76%, this is very very good. Because big screen TVs make you pay for that as well, not just their prices.
So energy efficiency is something to look about.

But audio input, the LG's only support analogue and PCM format. This tv also has internal video playback function through USB, but only SD resolution.



As a summary, it is really depends on you actual usage. If you are using the TV just to watch tv/astro, LG is the best and as it has energy efficiency feature.

The Samsung's has better multimedia feature, some people do not need this at all. Or you may opt for HDD player (I recommend Mede8er) if you chose the LG's TV.

I would not recommend Samsung model below x50 (i.e. 430 or 400). As this TVs produce noise in their video.

I think the lg 32LH20R is a good buy as the price is lower than the Samsung's.

You should do more survey ..i found out Lg full hd 32" (32LD460) only Rm 145o sold in some shops...
